Poured from a 12 fl oz bottle into a pint glass. Best before Nov0211.
Appearance: Pours that lovely golden Czech pilsner color. Relatively thin white head which recedes quickly.
Smell: Grassy, metallic Euro lager smell. You know you're drinking an import. A bit biscuity.
Taste: Wow, I almost forgot what a good tasting beer this was. Nice hop flavor comes right at you. I remember why this was a constant pick over so many other beers through the years. Smooth and light, yet full of biscuity, buttery, hoppy flavor.
Mouthfeel: Smooth and refreshing. A "light(er)" beer with a lot of character. A bit of a bitter aftertaste.
Overall: This is the first time I have come back to this favorite of mine after about six months of craft beer exploration. It's nice to know you can go home...and at just 4.4% ABV, I might have found my summer diet beer!

12oz. bottle poured into pint glass. Reviewed from brief notes.
A: Pristine golden color with a slightly off-white head that fades quickly to a foamy cap. A few wisps of lace linger along the sides of the glass.
S: A bit earthy with a lot of grainy aromas. Some bready malts as well. Weak hops beg for attention, but never quite take the lead.
T: Bready malts up front, with a bit of sweetness. A light hop bitterness underneath. Finishes strange and slightly metallic.
M: Fairly light, but heavier than the average BMC offering. Crisp and invigorating carbonation. Finishes slightly dry.
O: Definitely a drinkable beverage, but not one I'd visit solely for enjoyment. This is best paired with food and outdoor activities. Served its purpose well at a BBQ after a long day of work.
