Golden and somehow clearer than water. Pilsner flutes were designed to accentuate the beer’s color, clarity and carbonation. An inch of pure white frothy is replenished by rising bubbles.

Slight skunk, lots of sweet honey, saltine crackers, Subtly spicy, herbal nose, maybe cilantro, crushed black pepper, a whiff of grass blades.

Honey, saltines, grassy, earthy, dried spices and herbs. bitter salad greens, slightly musty grain, just-baked bread loaf, hint of dried lemon shaved onto bitter salad greens. Black pepper swirls before a more malty-sweet, balanced finish.

Light to medium-light in body with mild massaging carbonation. a bit of snappy bitterness at the finish has you reaching for another sip forthwith.

Clear, gold yellow, leathery acidic smell. Head poor, fast diminishing, white. Hops, orange and cereals. Spicy and anise in aftertaste. Sour and bitter, moderately lasting, but also refreshing. +herbal, ingredients from clear fields and pastures, - watery. All in all, very good beer, i prefer in summer.

This creation from Joseph Groll started the light beer craze in Europe and gave the style it's name.
It is the ultimate pilsner.

Great deep gold color, but low attenuation. It perfectly balances the slightly harsh taste from Pilsner malt with the incredible aroma of the Saaz hops.

Shame it comes in a green bottle. If not kept properly, this will most likely (even a fridge light can do this) cause damadge to the beer and give it a "skunky" flavour.

Some people like this kind of "damadged" beer. Have it from a serving tank if you get the chance. Then the beer will show it's astonishing aroma.

When it comes to Pils this is the reference class.

This is the ultimate pilsner. Probably my favorite pils. Nice deep gold color. Low ABV... But doesn't sacrifice on flavor. Nice head upon pouring, especially in a chilled glass. A bit of lacing. Some people call, it "skunk", but I call it "just right". Just the right amount of hop, with a nice biter kick on the end. I have enjoyed this equally from bottle, can, on tap in US, and Czech Republic.

I watched the movie "Somm" and they talk about "freshly opened can of tennis balls" being the big new thing in aromas. With this beer, it's more like a "freshly opened box of tennis shoes, that's been worn a few times before". Totally nasty, will not be trying this again, and likely throwing the remaining 5.5 bottles out.
