Crystal clear yellow body. Smells bready and has a lagery smell. Taste is like bready malts, cheap beer, and a hint of some spicy hops. Body is just okay. Overall a good benchmark for the style.

FINALLY Pilsner Urquell comes in brown glass bottles. That along with constant refrigerated packaging...so as to make it from the old country safe & sound...

Lovely look, although the head fades too quickly--albeit with a nice lace on the glass. Delicious aroma of clean, Saaz hops. Totally balanced solid feel going down, one gets from the real thing on tap in Prague. Great beer now--even in the bottled version.

The best pilsner beer i have tried. Very hoppy which i really love adds a superb bitterness and really makes your moutj come alive. Not very fruity but packed with the flavours of the malts they use.

You get a lot of dry apple on the nose, with the malt and hay smell. It almost combines in to a sort of citrus / tomato hybrid. Not very appealing, at least to me. Crisp feel, but not much flavor outside old apple and malt. It may have once been an originator, but it certainly has been surpassed by many other pilsners.

Bought a 12 pack of this in the brown bottles. Pours a golden color with a frothy head. Smells of grain with a hops overtone. A very tasty pilsner with biscuity malt backed up by a noticeable hoppiness. No adjunct flavors coming into play. A solid pilsner, probably the best I've had, leaves me wanting another. This is a really pleasant change from the hop bombs I usually drink and at 4.4% it's pretty sessionable - much better than the so called session brews that everyone seems to be brewing these days. Definitely worth a try.

Pours a sparkling gold with white foamy head and much carbonation.
S- Biscuit smell is awesome. Hops come through as well.
T- way better than mega American companies due to malty biscuit taste with the hop bite in the end
F- Could drink all day.
O- The beat pilsner ever????

The motherhood of european lager beer; gave the name pilsener from Czech city of Pilsen. Tried the beer on location as draft beer. Almost could hear the angels sing. As a bottled beer anywhere in the world it looses some of its freshness and hoppyness but is still one of the best lagers in the world. Ohh these Saaz hops. Very bitter but smooth and without the American Cascade hops harsh taste.

Hands down the best Pilsner ever! Very consistent through the decades I've tried it. I'm shocked by the low ratings. This is truly a WORLD CLASS Pilsner. 4.75
