A British style, the I.P.A. originates from the aggressively hopped and high-alcohol beers which were shipped to the British troops in colonial India. Pale to medium amber in color.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a high sided tulip glass.
Look is orange with an offwhite creamsicle head.
Aroma is astrigent malt with a light orange blossom honey note.
Tast is a little astrigent but with a nice balanced hop note.
Good drinker, classic IPA.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark amber color and a cloudy consistency. There was an absolutely massive, creamy, extremely long-lasting head. Very good lacing. A nice-looking beer.
S: A pretty good aroma of hops, malt, citrus, a bready quality, and pine.
T: Tasted of a bit of citrus (lemon, grapefruit), the aforementioned bready quality, lots of malt, some hops (not too much), a tinge of pine, and even a little toffee. This is very much an English IPA, with the malt topping the hops content. Not a perfect flavor, but it gets the style right.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.
O: If you like English IPAs, check this one out. It's not my favorite style, but this one is worth a look.

Semi-cloudy golden color with minimal fizzy white head and light lacing. Aroma is of citrus and light malt. Taste is good with touches of citrus, light malt and a small amount of hop bitterness. Balance is decent although overall boldness is light. Refreshing beer.

A: Apricot in color with a light tan head.
S: Light grapefruit peel, some caramel bread aromas and a touch of toffee.
T: Grapefruit, and citrus flavors. Light toffee, and something a little cloying in the finish.
M: Medium light in body, moderate to high carbonation.
O: Overall a bit of a miss for me, I feel like if I were served this at a brewpub it would pass my "yeah.. I guess it's an IPA" test, but I wouldn't order another pint.

On tap at Brewer's Alley in Frederick, MD.
This one pours a light amber, with a small head, and just a lot of lacing.
Smells like piney hops, a bit of citrus, and caramel and bready malt.
Kind of surprisingly, this is one of the more bitter IPA's I've ever had, which I'd hardly expect from this brewery. It's got a searing burnt pine like bitterness that kind of blanks everything else out. There is some sharp bready malt, and maaaaybe a little bit of citrusy sweetness, but it's hardly noticeable. Hard to finish.
This is medium bodied, with a very boring mouthfeel.
Not all that great.
