Can someone please tell me why there's a Torrey Pines IPA as the picture for this beer?
Pours a very nice dark straw colour with off-white head and above-average retention. The smell is quite remarkable, dominated by pine and citrus hops. Taste is more of the same, but needs a little more to become a truly remarkable beer. Light-bodied, dry finish. Good beer. I'll definitely drink it again.

A- appearance was a dark golden color with a about a centimeter of off white head on it and decent lacing down the glass
S- smell was sweet malty right off the bat which was weird for an IPA but we'll go with it, followed up by some hops in the back ground
T- very nice! Sweet and the hops bite well followed by malt goodness. taste is like a double IPA to me but overall pretty good i would recommend this to a friend
M- good carbonation, smooth for an IPA
D- very drinkable, went down faster than i would have liked, should have enjoyed it more

Poured from a 22oz bottle
A - coppery, somewhat opaque, nice lacing
S - Initially - i smell a skunky aroma as well. After some time, it settled down to a more earthy/nutty smell, much more pleasant.
T - Fruit blending into a hop profile that is subdued/somewhat thin, has a little spike within the finish and carries throughout the last. As the beer warms, hop bitterness becomes much more present...getting better.
M - Good carbonation, about where i'd expect an IPA...
D - seems fine at 6.9%... not sure i'd want to put down two bombers in a row.

22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with a smallish white head that quickly diminishes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is very subdued - a little fruit and some skunk and cola and some dank hops.
The flavor is metallic malts and cola with a little fruit and has a lot of resiny bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to light bodied and kind of watery.
Overall, it has good hop bitterness but lots of weird off notes (skunk, cola, metal). This is the first time I've seen Left Coast for sale here. I wonder if I got a bad bottle. It's not awful...I finished it. Just not really good.

I'm thinking this might be kinda old as the hops are slight dead - but I still think its worth reviewing. Keep in mind this place had 6 3L bottles of Double Bastard - from 2006!!!
A - Darker IPA colour, not as clear as some. Slightly week head off the pour and little lacing.
S - Malty hops. Bottle says english malt imported - I'd believe. Not as much hops as I expected given the 5 types used??
T - Very malty with booze coming thru quickly. Its got hops but more of an English style. Not biting at all. Malty flavour stays with you thru the finish with a slighty syrupy aftertaste.
M - Malts hold up the booziness well here. Again it might be old (Keg N Bottle in Clariemont).
D - I'd get this again because the malt flavour is a welcome addition to the IPA. West Coasts IPA's are great but often suffer from a lack of malt base. This is a good alt.

22oz bottle served in a standard pint glass.
Clear golden yellow color with a nice sized white head that left lots of sticky lacing all over the glass.
Aroma is citrus hops, grapefruit rind with a bit of earthiness as well.
Hops are what the taste is all about, citrusy sweet and pretty darn good.
Medium bodied with a good level of carbonation.
Easy to drink.

Acquired via trade with kenhutchinson...thanks Dan! 22 ounce bottled poured into the new SA glass. No bottling info is given. Comes in at 6.9%.
A-Pours a golden amber with a two finger off white head that dissolves to a nice foamy film that sticks around. It is quite clear and has a nice stream of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass.
S-Not a ton going on for a WC IPA. After cracking it and smelling the inside of the bottle, I pick up on some citrus (mango and grapefruit) as well as some pine. Once it is in the glass the citrus flavors are taken over by earthy/grassy hops and some sweet malt. Not the citrusy WC IPA nose.
T-Quite bitter, but like the nose, not citrusy. Taste is very vegetal. The bitterness is quite large for a single IPA.
M-Crisp carbonation and the mouthfeel is on the lower end of the medium scale. Dry like a WC IPA.
D-The vegetal taste limits this one for me.
As always, I am glad to try a new beer. This one is tough to recommend when there are so many great IPAs being produced from other breweries in the SD area. Would like to see some more citrus in here.

Went to a local convenience store that I know sells Hop Juice but they were out, picked up this instead.
Appearance - Pretty standard for an IPA, gold and clear.
Smell - Smells like hops. I can't really smell much else other than that.
Taste - Has a sweet beginning with a nice hoppy finish. A little bit of a piney taste.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and crisp.
Drinkability - Pretty good, definitely could drink more of it. It goes down really easy.

A little disappointed but still a very drinkable IPA. Poured light golden, yellow, some decent carbonation, dirty white head with good lacing. Hopped up nice but not enough. Had a floral taste and scent, malts were good, decently balanced with a slightly bitter finish. A good IPA but nothing I would buy again given the selection.
