Picked up a bomber the first of February for $5.99. No visible bottle date but should be reasonably refresh given it is the current seasonal.
Beer poured black with a nice tan head that is leaving lacing behind.
Nose has hints of cocoa, roasted malts, and citrus hops.
Taste is very flavorful, dark cocoa, a kiss or roasted malts, and citrus hops meld very well together.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and pretty smooth.
Overall this is a very smackable beer. Give it a shot if you have a chance!

From a bottle, pours jet black with a big fluffy and very fizzy light brown head.
The smell is roasted oats, lots of pine and resin, some chocolate, dark malt and burnt sugar. The flavor is sweet dark malt, resin hops, pine, hazelnut, some roasted oats. The finish is a let down, very fizzy, spritzy, sweet sticky finish. This is a bit oxidized.
