From 22 oz bottle...shipped into Colorado.
Poured into Eku Pils tulip glass.
Pours a copper color with small head.
Aroma is hoppy but seemingly oxidized.
Modest carbonation and mouthfeel.
Flavors of wet copy paper, funky grapefruit rind, rosemary and other staunch herbs. Humm...I'm not sure 5 minutes will help. Is this a deterioration due to shipping and/or age, or is this how it came from the brewery?

22oz bottle poured into a large mug. No code or date. Why are there so many with no code or date?

Pours moderately hazy, amber-copper, medium head, medium amount of fine carbonation. Sediment left a layer in the bottle; swirling would probably have left it very cloudy, and leaving some in the bottle would probably have left it pretty clear. Smell is malty, a little medicinal.

Taste is malty and somewhat medicinal. This isn't the right word, but I haven't found a good way to describe it.

A lot of the aroma and taste characteristic I'm starting to mentally associate with old IPAs, but without a bottle date, it's hard to tell. I may go seek out a bunch of old IPAs to see if this is a common characteristic. Maybe I'll age a Maximus and try it next to a fresh one.

Mouthfeel is thick. Overall, I'm underwhelmed.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits, hops. Taste is hoppy up front, some fruits, a solid malt backbone, easy drinking. feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass.
Appearance: a thick, fluffy off-white head slowly falls with plenty of lacing remaining. Color is a hazy copper with some streaming carbonation.
Aroma: tangerine, pine, floral, citrus rind, a bit of caramel and yeasty rolls.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied, oily and sticky with a drying finish and some lingering alcohol burn. Flavor: echoes the aroma with the tangerine, pine and floral hops flavors melding with the sweet malt and just enough caramel to balance the tangy hops.
Overall: excellent and well done to the style.
