A nice, drinkable dark ale. As my mate and I moved from the pales towards the heavy ales, this was the appropriate mid-point.
a) Dark mahogany with red tinges
s) Malt-driven, slight chocolaty/caramel note. Reminds me of Scottish ales
f) As it smells, with some light floral hop note, but not too much,
m) Fairly light
d) Very much so. The body makes it easy to knock back a few without getting the too-cloying feeling.

Deep amber hues with a reasonable head and lacing.
Floral hops and caramel dark malts present. A sweetness which balances well with the hop aroma.
Good strong hop flavours, malt profile consists of a caramerl and dark malt undertone, smokey almost. Good pine, resin lhop flavour.
Strong mouth feel, medium-thick with medium carbonation.
One of my favorite from Redoak.
