colour is golden, hazy like a hefe weizen should be. a respectable head can be seen, turning to a thick lace later on.
a well-balanced amount of cloves and banana can be tasted, and the mouthfeel is smooth, not too light, but not excessively heavy on the mouth. Highly drinkable, and highly recommended.

Wheat beers seem to be gaining a lot of popularity in Brazil recently and in my opinion this one is definately undisputed champion. Pours a nice golden color with a fragant white foam color. Notes of bannana and malt are present in the nose. Taste is very smooth and balanced. The malts prevent the bannana like flavors from being too strong and some grassy elements are also present. A very solid Hefe. I'm falling in love with this brewery.

On-tap at Cherry Blues Pub, on to the beer:
This is a very complex weissbier. It's cloudy blonde like any other weissbier, and bubblegum aromas pokes and tease the nose. The taste is where it seperates itself. Lots of flavors. It has a plasticy smooth feel to it, with phenolic (band aids), clove, gum, banana, and mint stimulating the palate. It's a shame the US doesn't get this beer imported, because this is a special treat.

355ml bottle served in a chalice @ Café Bamboo, Vitória - ES, Brazil
A: Pours a pale yellow color. A bit cloudy. Forms a very small aired bubbled white head. Low retention and very few lacings left
S: Strong banana esters. Wheat. Bread. Yeasts
T: Follows the nose. Banana esters, wheat, sweet malts, bread and yeasts. Upfront is slightly sweet. Light bitterness. In overall a light sweet beer
M: Medium body. Good carbonation. Bready aftertaste
O: Good drinkability. Eisenbahn quality

Good appearance, hazy with a golden colour but medium head formation/head stability.
Spicy aromas are predominant, covering a little bit the good ester formation (banana). Low bitterness, as expected. Good level of carbonation and good acidity, giving a refreshing caracter, also suitable for the style.
A good choice for a brazilian hefeweiss.

12 oz. bottle, thanks Jon,
A: Pours a cloudy yellow, smaller than expected white head, lightly fizzy, good retention though. Spots of lace.
S: Smell is heavily wheat-centered with notes of phenol.
T: Bubblegum and a striking shredded wheat note at the end form the main flavours. No real banana flavour except a minour note. Spicy (almost fennel-like) and yeasty.
M: Nice full body, chalky from the yeast. Smooth and drinkable. Strong carbonation as the style should have.
D: A good weizenbier from Brazil. I would have prefered a little more fruit ester in the flavour, but I think it's solid as it is. A thirst quencher on a hot day.

Straight pour from 355ml twist-off bottle to flute, best by date of October 10, 2011 printed on the label (10OUT2011)
Appearance (3.5): Nice golden haze in the body, really a solid haze to be honest. One finger of off-white head, fading to a thin disc on top of the beer.
Smell (3.5): Clove maybe a bit of coriander are the first things to come through the nose, with just a hint of banana back there in the background. Relatively tame nose, but that’s there is more or less in order.
Taste (3.5): Again, clove is the first thing to through but it’s quickly replaced with banana esters and some restrained wheat flavor. The banana character is the most notable element here, though it’s also relatively restrained, too—the flavor is bright, and doesn’t have any of the depth and richness that a banana would. The yeast is mild and clean, and does not stand out even after pouring the dregs.
Mouthfeel (4.0): Smooth, very find mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. It’s nice and velvety, actually, really quite nice, especially with that chewy wheat component.
Overall (4.0): This is a decent hefe, for sure. Nothing about it makes for a standout experience here, but it’s a good enough representation for the style, easy drinking and a nice alternative to the standard Brazilian yellow fizzy water.

A - Unfiltered pale yellow, low head retention (or maybe bad pour?)
S - All wheat in the smell...some other fruits poking through
T - Wheaty and yeasty, but crisp. Aftertaste that I can't quite place, but pleasant. Very balanced.
Overall, another great alternative to some bland brews in Brazil. Super easy to drink. Again, I wish they served this at bars/restaurants here. Great style, I'll have to look for more from this brewery

Another good beer from Cervejaria Südbrack, located in Blumenau, SC. Looks: bright yellow, dense and unfiltered. Kinda pale in colour.
A mixture of sweet and fruity smell, reminds of banana and cloves. Light and fruity taste, low bitterness. Also reminds of banana, with a little caramel on finish.
A very light aftertaste when compared to other weissbiers such as the Hefe-Weizen from Paulaner. Overrall a very light and easygoing beer. If you're in for the hefe-weizens, this one is worth a try (specially if you're looking for some brazillian crafted beers, lol).

Pours a light orange/dark yellow with a small white head that has low retention.
Strong aromas of banana and cloves and also a huge hit of vanilla. Very fragrant. Is intriguingly different and the best part of the beer.
Palate mimics the aroma with more yeast derived flavours of banana and clove and that ever present vanilla on the finish/aftertaste. Not as enjoyable as the smell.
Well balanced, if anything there seems to be a little bit of sweetness that detracts a little. Perhaps a bit thin.
Overall a well made beer, just lacking body. In Brasil I would love to drink it, but here in Oz at this price there are a lot of other options out there.

Pale amber pour, darker than you'd expect for the style. Nice head, but lacking in persistence. A huge wheaty/doughy aroma, with the sweetness of apples and apricots. Some banana in the background. Amazingly refreshing. Very slight skunk. Taste is of wheat and sourdough bread, hints of sweet alcohol (white wine comes to mind) yet still has a rather dry finish. Lacking in banana and clove notes, and the clinging weak bitterness was a bit of a turn-off. A tad weak-bodied, with little carbonation. Was awesomely refreshing after an intensely tiring day at uni (had to go to all of one lecture!).

Had this one quite fresh while in Brazil, on an exceedingly hot day.
Poured into sort of a tulip. Hazy yellow, thin white head, definitely a few fingers smaller than expected, despite vigorous pour.
Aroma is pleasant, lightly sweet, lots of wheat, some vanilla.
Light bodied, quite refreshing, although the flavors are a little bit less pronounced than I would have liked; vanilla and banana, some bread.
worthwhile on a hot day, if fresh.

Medium to thin head on a pale golden hazy body. The smell is mostly wheaty with light notes of yeast. An eventual banana aroma is really low. The taste too is essentially wheaty, with light notes of liquorice and anise. Sweet and slightly peppery. Highly drinkable (in quantities), due to a thin sweet mouthfeel, this one lacks some complexity. A little watery for my taste.
