Amber color with a two finger head that dissipated quickly.
Light fruity aroma with malt and caramel notes.
Flavor of orange and apple juice, caramel, slightly toasted malts and floral hops.
Light body with good carbonation. Alcohol of 6.3% is better hidden here than in some Belgian ales despite the fact that it is lighter.
Good amber ale, not as complex as some Belgian ones, but still a good local choice. One of the best Eisenbahn options.

It´s almost Christmas, and that means Weihnacht´s Ale. I couldn´t get this on my last trip, but now I have a 12 ounce bottle ready to go, so on to the beer:
Pale toasted orange describes the color of this beer, along with a slightly creamy head that drops to a thin lace. A little toasted malt in the aroma. Rusty grain too. Add a bite of a apple and a small injection of yeast. What you smell is also what you taste, plus a little bit of hops. It´s an okay Christmas beer, but it´s not going to put me in a festive mood.

Brought 2 of these back with me from Brazil and enjoyed one with Christmas Dinner and reviewed the other. Matched well with turkey and ham. Both true to style and strangely different at the same time.
Pours a very thick volumous foamy white head that has little stability and retention, produceing little laceing. The color is a crystal clear amber orange that is very pleaseing. The huge amount of carbonation quickly dissapates.
The nose is very strongly phenolic with alot of the same profile as a hefeweisen. There is an underlying sweet malty character with notes of spice. Characteristic of style there is no real hop profile to the nose.
The taste however is strongly of bitter hops with the malt almost entirely undiscernable. In fact the malt can only breifly be tasted amoung the spice and hop bitterness. The spice is nice but would be better if the malt was more pronounced. The taste does not have much in common with a Dubbel in my opinion. The color is much lighter, as is the malt character and mouthfeel, which is slightly thick and suits the beers as it is.
The drinkability is not real high, but it goes great with food and as a Christmas or Celebration Beer it is as it should be. I would like it better if it was maltier, but still a very good beer.

Shows a light brown colour, presenting a good head with no stability. The best word to define this beer is wood. Since the colour to it´s flavour you can remember the wood flavour with some bitterness at the end , don´t forgetting the strong alcoholic presence. I´ve bought a six pack from the website, no problem to finish them in a week.

Amber-Copper coloured, good head formation, but not so good head stability.
Well balanced beer, malty and hoppy, with a pleasant presence of fermentation esters and superior alcohols.
A good ale, very drinkable.
Originally a "Christmas" season beer (not for the hot brazilian weather at december), it's currently brewed the hole year.
