I expected the beer to look artificially red, but to its credit it doesn't. It's medium orange-amber in color with the slightest suggestion of red. The head is light tan, average in size and looks dense, yet soft. It falls quickly to a thin film and leaves almost no lace.
The scent of strawberries entered the room as soon as the crown was cracked. I'm picking up a great deal of sweet-tart strawberry, but there's an obvious background maltiness to give it 'beerness' and character.
Wow, is this sucker ever sweet! Without question, it's the sweetest beer that I've had yet. As expected, the flavor profile consists of sugared (and slightly tart) strawberries with a pale maltiness that keeps it from tasting too much like a wine cooler. The finish is longish and stickysweet. Thanks to all the sucrose (and fructose?), the mouthfeel is full, smooth and slick.
Against all odds, Melbourn Bros. Strawberry is enjoyable beer. I don't usually like sweet beer (or any sweet alcohol for that matter) and there are many other berries (raspberry, black raspberry, blackberry, blueberry) that I like better. In any case, this is a tasty little treat. And an expensive one.

Appearance: Pours a hazy pink-tinged rust color with a head that fizzes out like soda and leaves no lacing
Smell: Smells like thawed frozen strawberries - I don't mean that negatively
Taste: Starts out with a sweet/tart strawberry flavor, but the sweetness is so overpowering it overwhelms the tart flavors by mid-palate and after the swallow
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderate carbonation
Drinkability: Too sweet to drink alone - might be good with some ice cream

I seem to really be going for these strawberry beers this summer. This one surprised me a bit. Opens with a fizzy, deep ruby color, and qute clear. Aromas on straberry cola with a firm tartness (kinda lambic-like). Quite sweet and moderately malty flavor is taken by strawberry syrup flavors. Body is a bit more full than expected with a moderate bready base. Remaining fizzy into the finish with an emphasis on sweet strawberry (artificial) flavor and increasing tartness. A good taste, but somewhat un-beer like.

This one pours golden brown with a slight red tint to it. On the first sip, I think your senses are a little bit shocked by the presence of strawberry in your brew (unless you have had a bit of fruit ales in your tastings). I felt the flavor was pretty firm and not weak at all. Its smooth and well crafted, at least better crafted than other fruit ales I have tried.

Pours an amber tone with a pink haze over the body of this beer's hue, an off white red tinted foaming head as well. Lacing here is very nice with full rings. Aromatic qualities to note would be the lucious amounts of strawberry juice that is so quaffable. Very tasty and tart with the strawberries a bit on the sour side but very good sweetness, like a dessert beer. Mouthfeel this one has a medium body fizzy carbonation not too bad at all. Drinkability, well I don't honestly think I could drink alot of this stuff but for one it's a nice pleasant surprise not usually a big fan of fruit beers in general especially strawberry but this one hit me right for some reason

Presentation: 12 oz vintage style brown bottle with no freshness date.
Appearance: Deep reddish copper colour with a minimal spritzy lace ... a soda like apperance.
Smell: Freshly juiced strawberries with a balance between the sweet and the tart.
Taste: Light bodied and champagne like, smooth yet lively carbonation. Tartness gets a little assertive though this brew lends some sweet strawberry flavour also. Barley any beer characteristics, a touch of grain from middle to back that mingles with a woody leaf taste in the back. Aftertaste is surprisingly clean.
Notes: Similar wine cooler charateristics as the Apricot though a bit more tart and a pinch closer to a lambic style brew for the Strawberry. An excellent dessert beer, goes well with strawberry cheese cake.

Pours copper with pink foam that ends up as 1 finger of cream & a touch of pink colored head. Average head retention & above average lacing
S: Berries & a bit of metallic hops. More of the same in the middle, I also get some raspberry. Finishes dry with slight tartness, a touch of iron & more strawberries
T: Strawberries & tartness up front.
MF: Very rich when you consider the ABV, very low carbonation
Drinks pretty good, not my thing. But I could see sucking back a few with dessert or cheese. Fruit beer fans will dig this

Bright, pale-reddish color, with a full, fluffy, creamy head.
Aroma: strawberry..sweet, delicious...strawberry...with a tiny touch of tart..
Taste...mmm, tasty, but tart...interesting to taste a fruit beer, that's not a Belgian lambic, but still contains that certain sourness...let's try again...Sweet, TART,...sweet, TART..(.they make candies like this, don't they, popular at Halloween.?)..Full flavor, medium body, nice, tasty finish....a sweet, tasty, rewarding fruit ale...on the other hand, way too expensive, like many other fruit beers, such as lambics...I'd prefer to taste these flavors, however minorly in other brews...that aren't quite as pricey...glad to know it exists, though....

The beer pours a nice red color with a thick frothy pinkish head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a sweet strawberry scent that is mellow and pleasant to the nose. The taste is good as well. It has an awesome strawberry flavor that goes down with ease and finishes tart and refreshing. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. I love this lineup of fruit beers. They go down too quick. I wish they weren't so damn expensive.

Foams up a bit out of the bottle when I pop the cap. This pours into my 25cl tulip glass with a frothy, pale, off-white colored head. The beer is a murky red color that shows a light amber color (makes me think of browned, oxidized strawberries) when held up to the light. The aroma is unmistakably that of strawberry and is noticeable as soon as I pop the cap. Not surprisingly nothing else is noticeable except for the strawberry notes; at least the strawberry notes actually smell like real strawberries (though notched up a few ratchets) as opposed to cheap extract.
Shockingly sweet at the first sip, this tastes like strawberry syrup. Thick feeling, but there is a fairly substantial carbonation that actually seems to struggle to become free of the syrupy morass as the beer flows across my tongue. As to the flavors, well all I can say is strawberry and sweet, nothing else particularly is noticeable, especially nothing that would suggest this is a beer, much less a Lambic.
Not really something I want to drink, again this is more like a strawberry soda than anything. Way too sweet and fruity for my tastes.

A- This beer has a dark shoe polish brown body with a white thin head that fades after a bit.
S- The smell of homemade strawberry jam is strong and dominates the smell even during the pour.
T- The first flavor is strawberry jam with a faint tart cherry hint in the background. The finish is a sweet jam note with a carbonic bite.
M- This beer has a light mouthfeel with a dry finish.
D- This is all about the strawberries and the sweetness upfront and dryness in the finish balance a bit. It would be nice to have a bit more malt or alcohol flavors to contrast the berries. I like deserts and fruit so this was not bad for both and I like jam.

Noticably more red - basically an amber - than the apricot Melbourne brews. Pours with a good head that leaves some lace. Strong strawberry nose and taste. Starts sweet, has a distinct fizziness and finishes tart. The hops and malt are in the background. 12oz was $5.89.

Pours a clear amber brew.
Smell is intense sweet and sour strawberry scent.
Taste is sweet and sour fruit similar to the Lindemans fruit lambics. Strong fruit flavor dominates this brew mostly strawberry with some apple and grape flavors too. A tasty brew that screams STRAWBERRY in a loud voice.
Mouthfeel is good.
Tasty brew with a lactic acid punch, about as drinkable as a Lindemans.

As much as I like Lindemans Lambics, I think Ive found another brewery producing some quite quaffable brews. The pour is a striking Strawberry red color, the head immature, and the lace adequate to cover the glass. The nose is loaded with the aromas of over ripe strawberries also sweet and quite appealing. Ambrosial start, with an accompanying light tartness, the top skinny in feel and the finish astringent and the hops hidden under the strawberry sweetness, the aftertaste dry and sweet, quite a treat especially as an after dinner aperitif.

A great beer! This beer poures a beautiful peach colour with some reddish tones. It smells of fresh strawberries and spring water, and it tastes delicously like strawberries. This 'beer' lacks any real beer flavour butI did not mind that when I had this last night, as it hit the spot quite well.
An excellent dessert beer with a creamy mouthfeel. Although this beer is quite drinkable, I could see it getting old fast. So don't stock up. A very good, different beer, but it does not quit elive up to the $107 a case hype. Even if it is expensive to make it that way.

Murky amber rust with a loose and sparce white lacing.
Strawberry juice nose with figments of dates, vanilla beans, and Swiss cheese.
Fruitiness, again, is king. The Strawberry hues are clearer, cleaner, and better pronounced that those in the Apricot. This is straight-up strawberry jam. The middle find hints of earth, pink grapefruit acidity, and grapenuts. It fades out with a solid canvas and berry cooler sugariness.
The carbonation is brighter here and keeps the heavy-sweet body from hanging unwelcomely.
It's more or less a berry spritzer with traces of lambic dirt. Hard to call it, but it is better than the Apricot on all accounts.

Pours a reddish brown/copper color with a little bit of head that quickly dies and leaves little lacings. The smell is overly strawberries with a hint of tartness, but not much else. Now, certain beer people don't consider these worthy beverages, but I could relax with one of these all the time. A light body that goes down very smooth and the strawberry flavor is highly evident. Maybe it is me since I have a sweet tooth and I love strawberry milk, but I thought the taste was sweetlike and delicious. Some might call it a dessert beer or a fruit beer, but I love it. Too bad they sell this stuff for almost $7 a bottle - overpriced.

A: Pours an reddish orange color with big bubbly head that dies down rather quickly. Swirl the glass and the contents come back to life, the more the swirl the more the head will build. Tons of carbonation, no lacing or sediment in this one.
S: Rather faint. Strawberry is there but not overpowering at all. There is a gentle sweetness in the background combined with a little funk.
T: I have previously sampled the other two Melbourne Bros beers and enjoyed them. This one has the least amount of taste of all three. It comes at you rather gentle. Sweetend strawberry jam flavors right at the start. Pretty sweet on the tongue but the sweetness fades. It finishes kind of dry with a little funk and tart. This beer tastes as if it's made using a combination of early season tart Florida Strawberries along with the late season California sweet berries.
M: Light and sparkling. Lots of carbonation and sweetness.
D: One and done with this one, would be a good one to share.
Overall: My least favorite of the Melbourne Bro's brews. That being said it is a nice sweet treat after a nice Jamacian Jerk dinner. It served as a nice dessert beer before dinner. Search out the Melboune Bro's brews. They are nice treats, though I would recommend the Apricot or Cherry.

I was surprised that this beer was wasn't the colour of Hawaiian Punch due to the intense strawberry nose and intial first sip. After I got by the sweetness , the well balanced back bone of the beer made its presence known. I don't know whether I can get by the
overwhelming sweetness to really want to buy this beer again.

Pinkish-red....could even call it strawberry...colored beer with a thin, dull white head. Aroma is strawberry and tartness. Smell is something like a lambic. Taste is tangy and almost sour, with strawberry flavors throughout. A little dry, and certainly astringent. You have to search for the hops, but I think that you can pick them up a little in the back-taste. Pleasant and wonderfully tasty in little sips.
