Atmosphere- A unique and variegated Irish atmosphere that pays homage to the original An Poitin Stil outside of Dublin. A fun place to spend a lazy casual afternoon and watch the game on TV.

Quality- The overall quality of the establishment is good. The quality of the food and cleanliness of draft lines are all good.

Service- Service is generally above average. This is a more casual establishment, and the service follows-suit.

Selection- Predominantly "Irish" beer here... almost all of which is Macrobrew (Guinness, Murphy's, Boddington's, Smithwicks, etc.) As a beer bar, I struggle to give this an above average mark... but as an Irish Pub/Restaurant, I feel their beer selection is appropriate.

Food- The food is good to very good. Ranges from bar food to nice meat and seafood entrees.

Overall- Definitely a place worth visiting. I make it here a couple times a year...

Like many other reviewers have mentioned, this place definitely has a pre-fabricated Irish Pub feel to it...this isn't necessarily a bad thing; in my opinion it's better than a pre-fabricated standard American restaurant (i.e. Ruby Tuesday's, TGI Friday's, etc.), so I'd say it's comfortable, if a little hokey.

The service and food were both good but not terribly memorable, the menu consists mostly of Irish style dishes and some seafood options, along with the typical burger and sandwich options.

The beer selection is nothing to write home about really; they feature pretty much all of the BMC usual suspects, along with a more expansive Irish selection, including Murphy's, Boddington's, Smithwick's, Guinness, and the like. Great if you're in the mood for an Irish Dry Stout, but if you want something else you're pretty much looking at macro lagers.

All in all, not a bad place, but definitely not a beer destination. If you're nearby and want some solid food and a simple tap list, this place is worth checking out, but if you're coming from far away there are other bars and restaurants worth checking out.

Atmosphere: The Stil is a pre-fabricated Irish pub, right down to the agrarian knick-knacks strung throughout. A patio bar is available in nicer weather. If you've been to any folksy-lookin' Irish pub, this place matches it.

Quality: The place is a hotspot, getting a little crowded on the weekends. Cleanliness suffers a tad as a result.

Service: Service is decent, reasonably fast and attentive. Bar service is a little slower if crowded.

Selection: Think Irish and English offerings, Guinness and Boddington and Harp feature prominently. They do take their time on the Guinness pours, which is nice.

Food: Food is decent, with American and Irish pub offerings. Don't come looking for anything other than comfort food.

I would echo some of the previous comments, though not necessarily all of them. The beer selection is as other's have mentioned. The Still boasts a fairly typical selection that you could expect to find in an irish pub, e.g., the Guinness brewery line, Killian's. There are some other things that are a little bit harder to find however, such as the Murphy's and the Boddington's, a pleasant surprise. Other people have mentioned having bad service, my experience was just the opposite. The food came extremely quickly, and the staff was very attentive. The combination of the excellent quality food, the reasonable selection of beer, and the great atmosphere are all great reasons to check this place out.

Having driven by this place dozens of times on York road, I finally decided to stop in. The outside is unique to say the least--oddly covered panels all over the front with fake entrances galore. The interior is large, convuluted with many nooks and cranny's, full of nice wood bars and tables, and covered everywhere with Irish decorations. Tons of beer signs, maps of Ireland, Celtic crosses, antique weapons, and tons of other assortment. The place is huge, with multiple bars and little alcoves with tables, so I didn't get to see everything.

Beer selection was your average Irish pub selection --Guiness, Boddingtons, Bass, Harp, and the two I can't easily find at non-Irish restaurants Murphy's Stout and Amber.

I went for dinner, and must say the service was subpar. We stood in the entrance for 2 or 3 minutes before we were even approaced by an employee, who told us to wait just a minute. Once we were finally seated, it took another 5 minutes for our server to stop by. The food, however, was excellent. I had the Irish stew, which came in a nicely toasted breadbowl, was deliciously tender, and had much more meat, and less vegetables, than I expected.

This place is definitely more of a restaurant than a beer bar. If you're looking for good Irish food along with your typical beers, then it's worth checking out. Not worth the trip just for the beer though.

Cruised in the other day because some co-workers were hungry and it was a long drive back into the city.

The atmosphere at places like this just make me think of Disney World. There is some company out there that must sell prefabricated Irish bar selections and glues them all over. After a few beers, you could feel like you are in a fake Irish bar in Washington (Fado), France, or Baltimore County. Sorry, but average at best.

Mostly macros on tap with the typical "Irish bar" selection. At least Smithwicks is available everywhere, now that Guinness owns them. Guinness Stout, Murphy's Stout, Murphy's Irish Amber, Boddingtons, Smithwicks, Bass, Harp, and I think I saw a Sam Adams seasonal. Nothing overly original here either.

Food isn't bad. I know that when they opened, there was still some changes going on with the menu. Not horrible, not great...

Bottom Line: Anyone can make Sheppard's Pie, go somewhere else for beer and food.
