4 oz pour into a tasting glass on tap at the Pisgah taproom.

L – Deep brown color with a 1-finger creamy, tan head. Great retention with sheets of lacing.

S – Roasted malts, coffee, and milk chocolate. Par for the course as far as stouts go.

T – It starts off sweet with milk chocolate, almost like a milk stout, before a nice blanket of bitter roasted malts and coffee sweeps in.

F – Medium-bodied, a wonderfully creamy and smooth mouthfeel, and a mildly bitter, roasty, and dry finish.

O – This is a pretty good stout. The appearance and mouthfeel certainly benefit from the nitrogenization. Tasty and very drinkable. Nice beer from Pisgah.
