Served on-tap at 12 Bones in Asheville, NC
A: Pours a clear deep orange to copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation streaming from the bottom of the glass and amber highlights. The beer has a half finger tall foamy light beige head that slowly reduces to a medium sized patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of pumpkin sweetness and pumpkin pie spices (ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg are all present).
T: Upfront there is a light grainy malt flavor with some light to moderate flavors of pumpkin and hints of sweetness from the pumpkin. There is a light pumpkin pie spice flavors with ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg all present. Hints of bitterness which fades almost immediately.
M: Medium bodied with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: This is an enjoyable pumpkin beer that I'm glad I happened to find when out for lunch... It went really well with the bbq ribs and sides and was very easy to drink. Nice balance between the sweetness from the pumpkin and spices.

16 oz draft at The Tapp Room in Boone NC Price $3
A: Poured a dark orange with a white head that left fair amount of lacing.
S: All the pumpkin spices were present. I would say nutmeg being the dominate one.
T: Follows the nose. I didn't really get any strong pumpkin flavors alone more of a pumpkin pie spice taste.
M: really nice mouth feel on this. Heavy enough for a colder weather fall beer yet light enough to be session able.
O: Im glad I got a chance to try this seasonal brew, they had their release party on 10/23 so this is under a week old. For using a bunch fresh pumpkins I wouldn't say this was a super strong pumpkin beer. I like that its brewed in NC and that its all organic, however it could use more flavor and complexity. The alcohol content is unlisted, however I would guess somewhere between 5-6%.

On draft at the brewery.
Poured a dark brassy hue with a half finger foamy white head. There was decent retention and lacing.
The smell featured full blown nutmeg.
The taste consisted of the same strong nutmeg element with a touch of sweetness. No pumpkin meat detected.
The mouthfeel was typical if the style.
Overall an uneventful pumpkin ale.
