Served on-tap at the brewpub itself in a 17 ounce glass. On to the beer:
I'm not surprised that this is a yellow-orange colored beer. The solid head and good quanitity of lace may or may not a surprise, depending on your expectations. The nose of orange and complementing diacetyl gives the beer a a bit of an English character. And the taste....slightly fruity, caramel, watery orange, mineraly. At times these tastes don't show up, so you're left with a glassfull of light-medium bodied, low carbonated stuff. A bittersweet aftertaste keeps the beer going down.
It's a decent pale ale that is easy enough to drink. It's good to wash down food, but don't expect an epiphany.

Poured on tap at the Redondo Beach Brewpub. The beer was poured into a pint glass, and it shows a bright, clear golden coloring with no head. The beer has low citrus and hopped aromas. There are light initial flavors of citrus and hops, also. Pale, sour aftertaste with a lingering, weak finish. This beer starts of slow, progresses slow, and drags it's carcass across the finish line. Actually difficult to finish, but I am one who refuses to pour out or dispose of a beer.

On draft at brewery, consumed 01/14/08.
Medium yellow, nicely carbonated.
Aroma is piney hops.
Flavor is lightly pine hop at start then some noticeable maltiness peeks through towards the end.
Nicely balanced. I could see drinking a pint of this instead of just the taster.
