Sampled from a 660ml bottle into a branded, footed pint glass.
Forms a thin but well lasting white head over a clear, light golden amber coloured liquid.
Nice & clean with some grassy hops & grain and a scent of corn as well and possible barely too. I also detected a light citrus & wheat smell but nothing too strong.
A light lemon/citrus taste mixed with a grain like malt taste. Finished of with a light bitter finish that was quite pleasant.
A really smooth beer with all round nice texture. It is quite light, perhaps a little too watery but nothing terrible and is quite refreshing.
A pleasant, easy to drink session beer than is incredibly smooth and very drinkable. One I would probably drink again in the future.

I had this with a pizza here in Greensboro at Elizabeth's pizza, light gold/yellow color with small head.Smell of hops with malt backbone.Taste was pretty decent good balance,a little fruity.Nothing spectacular but very drinkable, better than Miller low-life and AB products.

very light golden colour. not much of head on this beer. i found it to be nicely hopped....more than a generic macro lager but less than a classic european pils ie. urquell, kozel etc. still quite an easy drinking beer that is average and drinkable but not great by an stretch of the imagination. i would have to try this beer again in order to give it a fair shake. (i had a few before my first sample).

Appearance This one poured a nice, hazy yellow with a light orangish tint. It gave off a huge head that made this lager look like a real winner.
Smell The lagered grain was unfortunately mixed with some type of pukish orange aroma. I picked up some of that dreaded rotten Pixie Stix smell as well.
Taste More rotten candy with some lagered grain and a few licks of orange rind.
Mouthfeel This one is light-bodied with some cheap fizziness and a horrible aftertaste.
Sinkability When in Italy, take the Brunella over the Birra.

A precursor to pizza at an Italian restaurant in St. Andrews, Scotland.
A: poured a very pale yellow. little to no head with little lacing and a very translucent appearance.
S: nothing overly exciting. some malt, hops, maybe a little citrus?
T: very light in flavor, similar to light beer in the US. again the lightness in flavor does not bring any singular ingredient to the forefront.
MF/D: a crisp, light beer. easily drinkable with dinner or as a session beer.

Cafe Mediterraneo, a very nice restaurant in Portsmouth, NH, has this on tap. Served in a pilsner glass, it is a clear golden color with a thick white head and some lacing. A nice-looking beer that doesn't live up to the promise of its appearance. Aroma is mildly floral, and taste is mildly hoppy, and it is somewhat refreshing. I think that's about all there is to say about this beer.

Presentation: 355ml light brown bottle. No freshness date. Great label of an older gentleman, in suit and hat, about to take his first sip of Moretti from a big mug. Actually ... In 1942 the Moretti family spotted a man enjoying a beer at a local Trattoria. They believed the man captured the essence of their beer and they asked if they could take his picture. His only request in return was another Moretti. His genuine Italian image has graced every bottle since.
Appearance: Bright and clear yellow. Head pours a frothy, creamy white that settles to a semi-sticky, creamy white lace.
Smell: Slight metallic aroma with notes of light grain and hop.
Taste: Smooth, light-bodied brew with an even mouthfeel -- a bit creamy. A unique sweetness of faint raw honey can be found in the full malt profile, which is followed by grain husk flavours, some a dryness and metallic flavours. Hops are more or less mellow with a weak tea-like quality, although they do peak with a very soft citrus-like bite. Dry grain in the finish with some leftover sweetness and tea notes.
Notes: Not a bad beer at all. It lacks the crispness of say a Peroni, but is still quite enjoyable. It's also the Moretti's flagship beer. I'd pair this with a nice Italian dish vs. drinking it on it's own.

This was supposed to be the LaRossa, but nobody in Firewaters can find any of the few things that I actually wanted.... they decided this was the LaRosa... Well, now I know what I actually had from looking at the labels on here...
No dating, just some odd numbers on it= 3290380HC.
This one poured out golden with no head, bits of white that swirled up here and there, and lots of carbination rising up. Crappy Firewaters for an insanely detergent laced glass.... can barely smell the beer.... (soon I'm going to realize they are doing me a favor!) Barely get a whiff of floral maltiness... Giving it the benefit of a doubt, this bottle is well past it's prime. Freaking skunky tasting as allhell. Very low carbination in the taste, especially for all the bubbles that you see, you cannot feel it. You get a bit of caramell sweetness, bit of bitter hoppiness are still present, but I just keep thinking of roadkill skunks swirled up into my glass. Ok, I managed to drink about an inch into it, and even got Mark and Karen to try it... god am I cruel! Finally just asked the bartender to pour this out, not worth making myself sick over... To give them credit, I did get a makeup beer from them.

Decent retention with a sticky white lace, nearly clean aroma with a trace of overcooked hop and husky sweet grain. Crispness gets lost within the grainy mouth feel, big grass almost earthened flavour from the grain with a sturdy yet underlying hop bitterness. Decent beer all around, seems to go better with pasta in a heavy cream sauce rather than the typical red gravy.

This Italian lager pours a clear, light gold body with a small, one cm, offwhite head. Film and collar lace remain after the head quickly falls.
Aroma is sweet, caramel malt, with a hint of sulfuric, euroskunk hops.
Mouthfeel is light bodied with even carbonation.
Taste is well balanced between mild, sweet malt and herbal hops that are less euroskunky than the aroma would suggest.
A very average, European pale lager, but better than I expected based on some unpleasant experiences with Italian brews in the past. This one is quite drinkable and refreshing, albeit average for style. I wouldn't seek it out, nor would I turn it down.

I tried a bottle of this omnipresent brew, while having a slice at my local pizza parlor. Pours pissy yellow, white, medium bubble head. Not any aroma to comment on. This is, as expected, a thin grainy brew. watery, with a hint of malt in the background. Also noticed some hoppy dryness in the minimal finish. Typical, unexciting macro lager. Did serve the purpose of washing the 'za down, but thats about it. l

The beer pours a clear light yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is very heavy on the corn. Smells like a macro lager. The flavor is a mix of corn with some earthy and spicy hops. Nothing in the beers flavor is any good. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a good beer.

Opened 12 fluid ounce bottle, poured into pilsner glass.
Poured a nice head of 2". slowly died to a layer of bubbles across the top and ½" of lace on sides of glass. Brew is a light straw with slight gold hues.
Initial smell was somewhat skunky, but after it comes to air, the smell is mostly malty. Taste standard EPA non discirpt "beer taste." it does have a somewhat fruity note, with a pleasant mouth feel and good palatability. nothing major, but better than other brews I've had in this style. It is pretty drinkable, all things considered.
But really, considering the wines that Italy produces, isn't this like expecting a great SUV from Ferrari?

Appearance - pale gold with a white cottony quickly disappearing head that peaks at about inch and a half. Fairly constant stream of bubbles rising from the bottom.
Smell - light grassy aroma, faintly sweet, inoffensive, not much to write about
Taste - mild sweetness of this a all malt brew slides into your flavor receptors in the beginning, followed by a quick sharp jab of hop bitterness(Hallertau) which just as quickly fades into a nicely balanced finish. The hop bitterness is a bit light for the Pilsner style, which is why I scored it a little lower than my actual opinion of this beer on taste.
Mouthfeel - thin to light bodied. Leaves you with an enjoyable sweet/prickly aftertaste.
Drinkability - good marks on drinkability, well balanced, lightly hopped and at 4.6%abv almost a session beer.

Poured into a pub glass, a light golden color.transparent,a small layer of white foam, not a lot of carbination.Foam does cling to the side of the glass.A bready, grainy aroma.no real hop presence.A thin mouthfeel, tastes like fillers were added, not a real malty taste.a slight bitterness at the finish. It's like an everyday normal drinking beer, not bad nothing special. Not a filling beer ,not a real tasty beer either.

Served in a chilled glass
Appearance - beer pours a clear ale colour, very light looking. white head, about one finger that disappears pretty quick. There is a slight amount of carbonation in the beer as well.
Smell - very fresh and clean smelling beer. I can smell some slight hops, maybe a little grass, besides that not much else.
Taste - very fresh and clean beer, not much to report. I can pick up on some earthy tones, but not much else.
Mouthfeel - slight carbonation adds some more hops to the mix, but not much else. maintains its clean and fresh taste.
Drinkability - this was a good choice compared to coors light as i was out for dinner. Not something i would seek again.

12oz bottle poured into a 12oz glass.
Pours a very clear yellow with no head at all. Nose is light and a bit malty.
Taste is light and malty with a very light hop finish. It's pretty bland and inoffensive though. It's god to drink with an italian meal though.
