pale straw gold colored with a thin white head.
the smell contains aromas of cereal grains, a touch of honey and a a few whisps of earthy hoppiness.
as far as flavor, you get sweet starchy graininess. i don't find the small amount of hops i find in the aroma.
the mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with slightly less than moderate carbonation. it's dry and fairly crisp.
drinkability is pretty good. it's a touch too sweet for what it is, and rather boring, but there's nothing wrong with it.

A - Below average head that faded fast and left almost no trace. Carbonation bubbles floating from the bottom to the top. Pale straw yellow resembling an American macro.

S - Earthy grains with a sweet aroma about it. No hops detected in the nose.

T - Not much too it. Just malts.

M - Very bubbly that you could feel on your lips even. Light to medium body that finishes clean.

D - I would get this over any American macro if it was offered.

Overall not as bad as I thought it was going to be. No skunk and a very clean finish. Not bad not bad...

Pours light gold with short lived white head. Smell is light sweet honey like malt. Hint of bittering hops. Pleasant smell. Taste is kind of light and sweet with honey again and some mild balancing bittering hops. Very easy drinking with no off flavors. Just a touch too sweet, with light carbonation and nice for a pale lager though.

Poured golden with medium carbonation. A hard poured yielded a nice and tight two fingered head. It left nice lacing on the glass.

Not much smell to this brew, some graininess.

The taste is sweet wheat. This is very Macro. It is not a bad beer to have with chinese or something. It is light and refreshing. Maybe a good bistro beer on a hot day.

I would get this over other macros but it is just psychological.

This pours a clear crisp gold with thin bubbly head that leaves behind a little bit of lace. The aromas are mostly of grainy malts and a Euro skunkieness. The taste is straight forward and similar to your average macro lager, again with a Euro Lager aftertaste, almost has some non-alcoholic similarities in flavor(cardboard comes to mind). There just was'nt anything that seperates this from your average run of the mill BMC.

after a lengthy jam session with the ill mayhem, we decided to stop and allow ourselves a glourious respite. honestly, this beer's mild color, cool crisp and refreshing taste equate perfectly with the warm, refreshing mediterrenean climate in italy, where it is brewed. but on a cold winter eve in the icy plains of new england, our band prefers a more hearty lager to fulfil the needs of our tastebuds. Behold... this dissertaion which is undoubedly true.

honestly, i could drink 12 of these beers

Tastes like an imported light European lager... oh wait, it is another imported light European lager! The best part of this beer is it's appearance. If you like bright, clear, yellow beers; it's beautiful.
The taste was sort of like Heineken, which for me, is bad. Not much aroma either.
Someone gave me this beer, so I'm not that upset.

Poured this from a bottle to a pilsener glass. Had a clear texture and a bright, golden color. It left a very small head that evaporated quickly. However, it had a decent amount lacing.

Smell was somewhat heavy on hops, but mainly it just seemed skunky to me.

The taste was unimpressive. Some hops and a little malt, but mainly it was thin and watery.

The carbonation was just below average, so there was no fun in the mouthfeel category.

On the whole, this is a pretty uninspired beer. One wonders what Birra Moretti was like before Heineken took them over. Now it's just a run of the mill macro lager. Pass on this one.

This is a good beer. It poured a nice light amber with a small head. The taste was surprising and full flavored for the style with a good balance between hops and it's great sweet malt backbone. The mouthfeel was exceptionally creamy. I would definitely have it again.

A: pours a clear gold with a 2 finger white head that has decent retention and leaves a pretty good lace. Lots of rising carbonation bubbles present.

S: grassy hops, slight caramel malt sweetness, and minerals.

T: grassy hops and caramel up front with a nice, dry finish, leaving very little aftertaste.

M: light and crisp, highly carbonated and a refreshingly dry finish.

D: a decent Euro lager that, in my opinion, deserves a little better recognition than what it has been getting on this site. It's clean, its refreshing and makes a great session beer. On that note, I would buy this beer again.

The "UN" beer--unremarkable, uninteresting, underwhelming. Pours a transparent straw yellow with very little head and no lacing to speak of. I honestly could not detect ANY smell to this beer...and the same thing can be said about the taste! There is NOTHING to this beer. Water with a small, small, small hint of malt. This is what I would expect if someone was trying to pass something off as beer that clearly WASN'T beer. The only thing about this beer that can be said is it has a good amount of carbonation and is easy to drink, but that is about it. Not good.

I had no expectations of this beer that my parents picked up in Sicily, nor for any Euro Pale lagers. This one was okay, however. No bitterness like others, some notes of berries. No head retention and below average carbonation. Drinkable enough, maybe nice on warm day.

The bottle artwork is kinda neat.
Poured into a pint glass.

A medium yellowish tone, with a small head that quickly loses its size.
Smells like a typical lager,
Taste is decent, nothing overwhelming, fairly smooth with not much after-taste.
MF has a little bite, not too watery.
I essentially bought this to give Italy a chance at showing me what they offer in terms of brewing. And it is a decent lager, but I would certainly reach for a beer from elsewhere if given the option to do so.

Poured a clear golden color with decent white head that dissipated fairly quickly. Not too much aroma to speak of, much like an American macro lager. Taste was actually pretty decent, I was pleasantly suprised. Very smooth and easy drinking. Wouldn't seek this out, but wouldn't turn down either.

12oz brown bottle with no freshness date. Pours a straw yellow with a 2 finger fizzy head, OK longevity and good lace. Not much aroma to speak of - slight honey and malt and not much else. This tastes wierd. Initial tastlessness leads to quickly fading honey followed by an off hop bitterness that lingers too long. Its just a weird Euro macro. Stay away.

a: Standard pint. Fizzy white head steadily recedes. The beer is a pale golden in color.

s: The grain aromas (pale, Munich, whatever) are somewhat appealing, but it's pretty damn boring. Light hop presence.

m: The carbonation is a high medium, and the body light. A little fizzy and not clean enough for my preferences.

t: Various pale Euro grains, and a bland hop flavor. Bland overall. Very little hop finish.

d: pretty easy

A golden appearance with a small white head.

Smell is what got to me. A quick smell will seem like a pretty average lager but taking my time I found there to be something more that I just can't put my finger on, almost a hint of pine, although that may just be me.

Taste was pretty decent, it was slightly more rich than an american lager, not the cleanest taste which may be good depending on what you like.

Mouthfeel was ok, I found there to be a slightly thick aftertaste that did not appeal to me. Carbonation level was tolerable with this beer.

Drinkability was good, carbonation seemed slightly off for the taste but it surely went down smooth and this seemed to be a good beer if you needed to pace yourself through a long night with a decent taste.

Found this in the fridge over the holidays at my Mom's house. JACKPOT Yeah!!

I was kind of excited finding this at my mother's house over the XMAS Holiday Season, and took some notes, which drummed up some conversation around my relatives.

Poured golden, one finger head, not much lacing, smelled slightly malty, more like bread dough. This had more flavor than I expected, tasted more like a dark beer than the color showed. Not sure how long it was in the fridge....probably wouldn't run out to personally buy a case, but would like to review under different circumstances

Pours clear gold with a few meandering bubbles and a patchy white head. The aroma is light and sweet with only a passing malt feel. Hops emerge in the taste, minty and pithy, though too light to overpower the malt sweetness or vegetal/cooked corn flavors. The mouthfeel is more robust and softly carbonated than I was expecting. The finish is watery, slightly grainy.

This is a ho hum beer but decent for a macro lager. It has more hops and body than its american counterparts, still pretty insipid though.

Poured a clear light golden color with a big white foamy head, just like the picture on the label. Good lacing and head retention.

Not a lot going on in the smell department. Maybe some hops and perhaps some grain, that's about it.

Taste was solid, not spectacular. Mostly hops again, nothing too complex.

Crisp mouthfeel, light bodied with a bit of carbonation presence.

Overall this was a simple yet enjoyable beer. Would make a great session brew, as it's pretty easy to knock more than a few of these down at a sitting.

Appearance- A pale brass looking yellow. A fingers worth of white head with a little bit of lace.

Smell- Pretty faint not much too really speak of maybe some hops.

Taste- I think this beer has a bad rap. It wasn’t bad. It is pretty light but the flavor was a little sweet for and had a little bit of hops flavor.

Mouthfeel- Watery with some carbonation.

Drinkability- Pretty go with Italian food. A little too expensive to be a party beer.

Excellent label art. Poured into a standard pint glass.

A - Pale yellow brew with minimal head, poor retention, and little to no lacing. Average at best, and certainly average for a pale lager.

S - Huh? Nothing really...maybe some grassy hop notes, other than that, nothing detectable.

T - Sharp and crisp taste. Inoffensive. Not great but certainly not bad. Slight malt/hop mixture, yet neither is very strong.

M - Actually this is where the brew stands out from the other euros I've had. Still light bodied with sharp carbonation levels and a dry finish, but I noticed a much creamier and smoother body to this one. Might not seem like too big of a difference, but it certainly is to me.

D - This is probably my favorite of the euro pales. It's smoother and not as sharp. Bitterness is still mild, but these just seem to go down very easily. Plus how could you not love the man on the bottle? Is he contemplating the beer or sulking in it? Who knows, but I'm about to join him...

S - It smelled of corn, grains and some light malt.

T - It tasted sweet and had a good deal of grainy flavors.

M - It was crisp and sharp. A light-bodied beer.

D - This is a fair average Euro Pale Lager. Nothing outstanding and nothing I'd buy, but if its free I'll drink it.

Pours a very pale color with a thick, fluffy head that recedes slowly. Aroma is strong and malty, bready as well. Nothing truly special here. Taste is very thin and suprisingly drinkable. Goes down like water and leaves little if any aftertaste. Might be good on a hot day of mowing a lawn but largely unimpressive.

Had this in Florence as you could pick up a large (1 liter) bottle in the nearby corner store for less than 1.50 euros. Unfortunately it may be an unfair tasting as this was a day or two after leaving Belgium and tasting some of the best beers around.

won't go into detail on all aspects, but average all around. Decent session beer. wouldn't turn this down but wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. It lacked flavor - some hints of sweetness but also a bitter finish.

Still worth it if you're in Italy, considering the price.
