On-tap at the Copacabana location, on to the beer:

Nice color. It is an amber orange colored beer with some carbonation running through the body. Good head and retention. One whiff of the aroma started to cast doubts though. I smell I mild aroma of boiled corn mixed with the light toasted malts and faint diacetyl. It´s not just an aroma thing too. Okay, so the taste is a little different, but it still has some problems. Light toasted malt is nice. Light metallic, faint touch of boiled corn, and sharp hop bitterness? Not so good. It also has that `cheap feel´. Too bubbly and a little rough out there. Faint metals linger in the aftertaste.

It´s a passable beer, but there are enough flaws in this beer to ruin an experience. Pass.

I was disenchanted with brazilian average beers, but this one is now my go-to beer for a barbecue or something else that requires you to get shitfaced (LOL). Good drinkability, without leaving the bitterness, very malty, dark orange color. Nothing spetacular, but compared to other brazilian average beers, I really enjoyed it.

Best by 7/21/15.

Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt and caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, caramel, and slight earth flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a below average beer that is fairly decent, but nothing really stands out about this one.

Serving type: bottle.

I had one of these at a local Brazilian restaurant, I was surprisingly impressed with the brew. Great look out of the bottle with a weak head but nice lacing down the bottle. The smell was lightly hoppy - not too overpowering. Feel-wise I found it to have just the right amount of carbonation, but didn't find it impressive either. It was a good tasting beer, paired real well with the Brazilian fare I had this evening. It was something I certainly would reach for if I saw it again.

Look, do not expect much, but I found very interesting the price! Too bad I can only 200 km from here... Appearance: redhead:-) translucent, elusive foam; Aroma: smell is not common...

350ml bottle poured into a tulip glass.

A: Pours an amber to copper colour with about a finger of a very aired white head with poor retention, decent lacing left on the walls of the glass.

S: Caramel malts, bread, with a very faint floral hops aroma.

T: Same as the nose, with some nice medium bitterness. Taste gets worse as it warms up. Lack of flavor hops.

M: Relatively creamy, light-bodied and very refreshing. Medium carbonation. Bready aftertaste.

O: You can get this beer for the same price you would get a Skol or Antarctica (awful AALs), which is a plus. This beer isn't a complex and unique brew, but it works fine in a barbecue or in a hot summer day.

Light copper color with an aired two finger head with medium retention and leaving laces.
Faint aroma of caramel malt and bread, that is about it.
Predominant flavor of caramel, toasted malt and hay with a hint of floral hops and Red Ale yeast. Dry aftertaste with a low bitterness.
Light to watery body with good carbonation.
Although this might be a bit superior to other cheap beers in Brazil (though its price varies a lot...) and the other two main Devassa sellers, it carries the same defect of its brown ale, it misses body and hops, but at least it is not very sweet and has no off-flavors. Alternative session beer to local Adjunct Lagers if the price is right.

First its important to note that this beer isn't expensive, you can buy one for almost the same price of a regular brazilian american adjuct lager.

There is no head at all in this beers.

the smell is faint, almost undetectable.

The beer taste very cool and poor like other brazilian beers. Some notes of hops and malts could be find, but very faint.

In general this is a brazilian beer, which means a cool and refreshing beer with little complexity to be found.

Better than most others major beers in this country, but not a unique experience!
