Fairly decent brew, not necessarily close to a pilsner feel, but a fair quaff. Outlier in rating... While nothing extraordinary it performs better than the Devassa Ale.

My mother likes, says it's the only one who does not give her headache... not me, it is light and easy to drink, but more expensive than a Heineken; do not give it ?!

Appearance: 1/4 inch head, gold in color, clear, moderate carbonation

Smell: tropical rind and adjuncts

Taste: toasted malt, straw, and adjuncts

Mouthfeel: moderate carbonation, light bodied, sweet

Overall: An average tropical adjunct lager. A slightly different taste from the adjunct. Pleasant, but nothing I need to revisit anytime soon.

Missing eval, this one for the science.
Golden color with a thin head with short retention but leaving some laces.
Light aroma of sweet bread malt, corn and faint herbal hops. Not bad, I was expecting less.
Flavor of sweet malt which initially predominates over adjuncts with distant hints of herbal hops. A bit of cooked vegetables, but not annoying. Light aftertaste.
Light to watery body with good carbonation.
Slightly better than other local adjunct lagers, anyway just a shadow of what a Pilsner should be.

(Served in a plastic cup)
A- This beer pours a lemon yellow with a slight haze and a thin white film that breaks up pretty quickly. There is a gentle carbonation of bubbles working there way to the surface.

S- The clean aroma has hints of field corn but not much else.

T- The faint pils malt hint is soon gone with a field corn finish and some sulfury taste overtaking the try finish.

M- The light mouthfeel has a full fizz that scrubs the tongue.

O- This beer really has no flavor at all. It was served pretty cold but even as it warmed up there was just nothing there.

350ml served in a mug glass.

A: Pours a pale yellow clear color forming a medium white aired head. Low retention and only few lacings left

S: Really hard to find something here.... realty weak. Sweet grains and some hops, if you do an effort

T: Follows the nose, I mean, tasteless. Sweet grains, no trace of bitterness. Adjunct malts are really annoying, mainly the corn

M: Very light body, watery. Medium carbonation sweet grains aftertaste

O: Low drinkability. Not a Pilsener, as usually written in the Brazilian Adjunct Lagers. Honestly, I would not classify it a beer. In any case, it's a disgusting liquid that should be avoided

A - A small head of white foam on top of a clear gold body. The head settles at a moderate pace and leaves decent lace on the glass.

S - Grainy sweetness and a bit of honey.

T - Some very light malt up front and some herbal hops that come out in the middle. It finishes with light bitterness and some more grainy malt.

M - Light body, average carbonation, and a dry finish.

D - This is a bit light for a craft lager, but it has some genuine malt character and it is much better than the industrial stuff that one normally gets in Brazil.

Devassa Loura is a very good pilsner produced in Brazil by a special brewer. Devassa in Brazil is a word used to describe a gal in the oldest profession, hence all the Devassa beers have female names. The Loura or Pilsner is quite good. It is golden and clear in color and in true Brazilian Chopp fashion, it came with a thick frothe foam head that lasted through the tatsing. The smell was standard for a pilsner....nothing exciting. The Taste was very smooth, grain, malt and hop worked quite well together to give this beer balance. It is very easy on the mouth and good be drank in significant quantity.

It's an average beer, perfect to drink in a hot Rio summer day.

It's made to drink on brazilian style about 3 celsius degrees.

It tastes is good but it costs than value.

The white head doesn't exists because the very low temperature doesn't let then form.

By the way, is a beer to drunk fast because the taste when it's in a high temperature is very bad.

the merchandise is greater than the taste but is better than other brazilian pilsen style beers.

On-tap at a sateillite bar inside Guarulhos International Airport, on to the beer:

So it is true beer drinkers get more head. The head was poured thick and creamy on top this straw bolnde body. Many rings leave their mark on the glass as it's consumed. Aroma: hay, grass, a note of DMS. Could there be adjuncts in this beer? And indeed there are when tasted. Sweeter than the usual lager, there's a light tone of DMS and floral notes. Faint milled corn flavor. Still, it isn't offensive, like a PBR. The soft and fluffy mouthfeel helps its cause as well.

This was my breakfast in a glass that day (along with the brand's IPA), and at R$ 10 ($4.35) a 500 ml serving inside an airport, I'm not complaining a lot.
