Hit this place on a work trip after reading the reviews...it's pretty good for vegas, but it's not your friendly neighborhood beer bar by any stretch...in a mall off the casino, I hit it on monday night around 7pm, it wasn't to crowded and I easily grabbed a seat a the bar...very generic, resort style bar. Maybe 10+ taps, decent mix of international beers, they had a nice range of styles and a heavier emphisis on seasonal/weather appropriate styles (wit, hefe), but more imports then micros. I grabbed a 750 of unibrou 16 for, actually, $16 IIRC, which was probably their best value...the bartender was clueless (almost opened the 17 before I caught it) but had a nice tan, skimpy cloths and huge implants. I got their basic burgar with blue cheese, carmalized onions, and bacon. I ordered medium rare, but she said it would be red - I wanted pink in the middle, and went with med. It was still red in the middle, and crubbled apart, but tasted fine...with fries and that 1 botttle, it was $32, fair enough for vegas. I had a cigar ready to fire up for desert, but no smoking in the 'mall' at the casino...so I had to take the rest of the beer in a plastic to-go cup and wandered back down the stip and called it a day. Maybe I'm spoiled in portland, but as a vistor, I'll stick to buying the $4 24 oz. sierra nevada pale ales at the bodega's while I wander around and not gamble...

I had the pleasure of visiting the Burger Bar on my recent trip to Vegas and I was quite pleasantly surprised. My group went there for the food and were quite amazed with the beer selection here.

In addition to a very nice tap selection, there's a great bottle selection. My brother and I both had the 2011 Anchor Christmas ale, though they had a few other vintages available. Really, any place with multiple years of the same beer gets kudos from me.

Service was good, although we didn't really test the beer knowledge of our waiter -- this is primarily a restaurant, after all. However, if you are looking for dinner and want a place with a lot more than the regular BMC crowd, this is it. It should also be noted that prices here are quite reasonable, with respect to other places on the strip. Most of their draft beers were in the $6-7 range, versus paying $8-9 for a bottle of Corona elsewhere on the strip.

So, value, selection and great food -- definitely worth a stop.

We went to Burger Bar this afternoon for an early lunch. We walked there from MGM Grand, it's located in Mandalay Place, which is located in the mall between Mandalay Bay & Luxor. We got there right when they opened at 11AM and there was already a small line.

The service here was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, responsive and attentive. The beer selection is solid with over 100 bottles offerings and about 30 or so draft options. The drafts were divided by country and the bottles were divided by style.

I started off with a Belgian Kriek that was amazing and served in appropriate glassware. I also had an Anchor Steam with my burger and that was fresh. The burgers here are the main attraction and you can choose from angus beef, kobe beef, turkey, buffalo, lamb, etc. I went with a kobe beef burger and it was delicious. I ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly. They have an extensive selection of different toppings, so you can make your burger to your preference.

I really enjoyed this place. Check out the nice selection of brewery signs in the long hallway at the back of the restaurant. I would definitely suggest checking this place out if you are staying on the strip and like quality burgers & craft beers.
