The Burger Bar in Mandalay Place is quite a unique restaurant. It's essentially an upscale diner, complete with boothes and a counter. The menu consists of burgers, beers, and shakes, but the fare is far from fast food. The centerpiece of the menu is the Rossini Burger, a kobe beef burger topped with black truffles and foi gras. Other burger topping options included olive tapinade, asparagus, peppered bacon, jalapeno bacon, jalepeno slices, lobster, shrimp and more. Meat options were kobe beef, hereford beef, colorado lamb, california turkey, and veggie. (ok not meat)

(newly updated)
I visited the Burger Bar again, and it has improved greatly. BB now has about forty taps, and added vintage bottles to the beer list. Drinking a glass of the Abyss with your burger is pretty damn cool in my book.

The Burger Bar has gone from "a place I'd go to if I get near Mandalay & Luxor" to "a must stop when in Vegas".

I had the pleasure of visiting the Burger Bar on my recent trip to Vegas and I was quite pleasantly surprised. My group went there for the food and were quite amazed with the beer selection here.

In addition to a very nice tap selection, there's a great bottle selection. My brother and I both had the 2011 Anchor Christmas ale, though they had a few other vintages available. Really, any place with multiple years of the same beer gets kudos from me.

Service was good, although we didn't really test the beer knowledge of our waiter -- this is primarily a restaurant, after all. However, if you are looking for dinner and want a place with a lot more than the regular BMC crowd, this is it. It should also be noted that prices here are quite reasonable, with respect to other places on the strip. Most of their draft beers were in the $6-7 range, versus paying $8-9 for a bottle of Corona elsewhere on the strip.

So, value, selection and great food -- definitely worth a stop.

We went to Burger Bar this afternoon for an early lunch. We walked there from MGM Grand, it's located in Mandalay Place, which is located in the mall between Mandalay Bay & Luxor. We got there right when they opened at 11AM and there was already a small line.

The service here was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, responsive and attentive. The beer selection is solid with over 100 bottles offerings and about 30 or so draft options. The drafts were divided by country and the bottles were divided by style.

I started off with a Belgian Kriek that was amazing and served in appropriate glassware. I also had an Anchor Steam with my burger and that was fresh. The burgers here are the main attraction and you can choose from angus beef, kobe beef, turkey, buffalo, lamb, etc. I went with a kobe beef burger and it was delicious. I ordered it medium and it was cooked perfectly. They have an extensive selection of different toppings, so you can make your burger to your preference.

I really enjoyed this place. Check out the nice selection of brewery signs in the long hallway at the back of the restaurant. I would definitely suggest checking this place out if you are staying on the strip and like quality burgers & craft beers.
