For San Bernardino, having a BJ's Restaurant and Brewery is a real step forward. This city of 190,000, and site of the Rolling Stones' first ever American concert on their 1964 tour (Swing Auditorium), has never had a microbrewery. Although they don't brew their beers here, it gives the Inland Empire another venue for good tasting beer.
We're finding that this San Bernardino brewpub is able to obtain some very good seasonals from either the West Covina or Brea brewpub (I'm not sure where they actually brew their beers). For example, the Jessibell is an outstanding double IPA. They've had an extra special bitter on tap for the past month.
It may not make much sense to review any more than one BJ's Restaurant and Brewery, and I hope I haven't. But this one is the closest to my home, and I'm thankful for that.
I think their service is outstanding. Rarely are you left looking for a waitress or a helpful assistant to order food or beer, bring water, napkins, uitensils, or whatever you need. The management of this place really has instilled in the minds of the employees that service is #1.

Dropped in here to break up a long drive home last week. A veggie pizza, a pint of their Oktoberfest, and Sunday Night Football made for a nice respite.
If you've been to one BJ's, you've been to them all (except the strange little shoebox in La Jolla, which doesn't even have enough room for a bar). Lots of brick and dark colors decorate a high-ceilinged interior. Flat-screen TV's dot the walls and play sports non-stop. This chain one-ups Applebee's/Chili's/Friday's by offering passable craft beer and higher quality food, but the atmosphere is quite similar otherwise.
I didn't bother to ask about the bottle list, as the advertised Octoberfest sounded intriguing. Turns out, it was pretty tasty; possibly the best BJ's beer I've had! I did not spot anything special on-tap: Blue Moon, Bud Light, and a couple other members of the BMC family.
Service was slightly better than average: the waiter was nice, informative, and fairly attentive.
Just another BJ's Restaurant - nothing special.

Went here once with a party of about 20 at lunch. They did a very good job in getting us seated with prompt service. Most people weren't drinking anything, but myself and a couple others went to the bar for a couple beers. The service, for being lunchtime without a big crowd, was very slow. Don't know why it took the bartender so long to pour a beer, but the service at the table was much better.
Beers are served ultra cold.
This is a standard BJ's, you experience the same thing at each one basically. This one has a fairly big bar area, I would say only slightly bigger than Rancho Cucamonga, but in my experience West Covina has the biggest bar area.

I have been to many BJ's and chose not to review them here ,with the exception of Las Vegas, as I do not like to do too many negative reviews. Get the hint? Anyway I thought I would review this one. First thing is parking, if you go during the day this could be an issue. There is a ton of parking but the establishment is lined up with some "big box" stores and the lots can all be mostly filled. Of course in the evening this is not an issue. This BJ's seems the same as all of the rest except the bar seems bigger to me. As this is where I usually go this is important, as most of the other BJ's bars are so packed that there is bumping, pushing etc. from other patrons, thus spilled drinks etc. The one thing that is different about this one is the staff and the service. The manager here or managers must be a cut above the rest as the service is so good. The servers seem so relaxed in what they are doing but they never miss a beat service wise. This usually comes from better selection and training from above.
The food in all BJ's is good, think Applebee's, and the beer is drinkable or a little better than that so I would have no problem in returning to this one.

A very nice establishment in a somewhat dry region (Inland Empire) for good microbrew. Right of the I-10 freeway, this BJ's location is very strategically located within a new developement area in a rejuvenated part of San Bernardino.
As with a few other BJ's you get the lodge sort of feeling as you walk in - very big and spacious. The walls are adorned with some great beer related artwork and logos of all their regular beers. I really like the drinker's version of American Gothic. The restaurant tables are jammed a little too tight together for my liking, but plenty of booths line the outer edges which are very comfortable. The bar is also very roomy and some big screen TV's pack the wall behind the bar to showcase some good ball games.
The beer is above average with a great selection always on tap. The typicals are always here - Jeremiah Red, Tatonka Stout, Piranha Pale, etc. with a few random seasonals. The seasonals are actually what keeps me coming here and recently I can remember an IPA, Double IPA, Barleywine, and Belgian Wit which were all great. A decent selection of belgian bottles are also available.
The food and service go hand in hand as are both are great. I'm a big fan of Chicago style pizza (thanks to my Dad) and BJ's does a good job of serving up some tasty deep dish. I've tried a few other sandwiches and burgers which are also good.
The service is excellent. Our waiters/waitresses have always been very attentive and informative. BJ's does a good job of hiring extra staff to help out with refills, condiments, silverware, etc.
Overall, a good place to take the family and enjoy some beers and pizza while taking in the atmosphere.
