A: Pours a hazy gold with a thin, clinging white mousse.

S: Aromas of spicy yeast, candy sugar, and bitter citrus fill the nose.

T: Notes of spicy Belgian yeast dominate the entry, but are quickly followed by flavors of grass, lemon, lime, bitter orange, minerals, straw, and candy sugar. The finish is bitter and lingers for quite some time, presenting a refreshing blend of lemon, lime, and candy sugar flavors underscored by a slight yeast spiciness.

M: Medium-bodied, very dry, and very firm. Carbonation is active. Drinkable, but filling.

O: This is a solid Belgian pale ale, but overall, it's nothing out of the ordinary. This beer is exactly what drinkers expect of the style, but the problem with it is that it does not seem to make much of an effort to exceed those expectations. In the end, Tournay Classic is a good, solid, filling pale ale, but it is hard for me to justify tracking it down again, especially consider that there are many other Belgian ales out there that are much more unique and complex.

Very cloudy yellowish color that is slightly reminiscent of a traditional Witbier. The mouth is also in this sense, that is to say, it reminds spices and slightly bitter citrus. But the side belgian pale ale is also provided by the hops which plays a discreet but effective. There is a slightly bitter aftertaste but still persistent on the palate and a nice way long enough. A good beer but a little hybrid quality significant for fans of the two particular styles.
