Citrus and pine aroma, nice. Tall slightly off-white head, receding slowly, leaving stringy lacing. Light amber color, clear, with solid carbonation. Substantial mouth feel - somewhat thick for the style. Initial taste is pine and citrus with plenty of malt backbone asserting itself through the feel more than the taste. Middle and finish have a just-right level of bittering. Finish is a bit sticky rather than clean. Overall, a very good APA.

Tastes like central Oregon...citrus??? what? No way . Purchased at the supermarket in Madras, not at brewery .This beer tastes/smells like a fresh branch off a juniper tree..which isn't beer to me...save it for the gin crowd. I wont buy this one again. Saw "very resiny" in previous reviews which sums it up well...any semblance to fruitisms is pure happenstance...have seen some GREAT music at their place though!

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy ivory foam. I think it's quite attractive.
Smell: toasty malt with a slight sweetness and herbal, floral and slightly fruity hops. A very interesting combination; I like it.
Taste: somewhat sweeter than the aroma, but still with a bit of a toasty edge. Hops are somewhat sharp, with a definite citrus character. Not your typical pale ale.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: this beer gets bonus points for being interesting. It definitely has a je ne sais quoi that separates it from a lot of other pale ales; worth a try.
