The color is chestnut brown, a bit hazy, the beige head is settling quickly with a fizzling sound, nearly no lacing.

The smell has sour tones like a musky old cellar, damp old wood. Ash and concrete.

Taste from the smoke infused barrels is dominating, which takes the focus away from any hops, also a bit sweet and sour. A chalky resemblance.

Low carbonation, rather soft liquid.

This beer was a bit old, and had not aged well at all. In general cask aged beer is complex and can be rounder after some storing. But this was not a nice combination.

A: Very dark brown with some reddish tones. A thin, but rather rich layer of brown foam.

S: Lots of smoke, tar, coal, some fruit and a bit whiskey.

T: Smoke, a bit fruit, tar and alcohol (even though it wasn't dominant in any way). Aftertaste was sweet, maybe a bit chocolate. I'm not sure why, but in some way it reminded me of a grilled steak. Probably the smoke and coal.

M: Pretty thin, little carbonation.

D: Went down quite easily, and I could probably drink another one. One, but that would be enough.

Overall, this is a pretty decent beer. It's not amazing, but I suggest you try it since it quite different from most other beers I've tried. Not recommended if you're an avid non-smoker though.

A: Amber with a good offwhite head.
S: Smoke(d whiskey), alcohol, tar, some sweetness
T: Tar, charcoal, dill, sugary sweetness. Charcoal the most prominent taste. Sweetness comes second. (Tjärtablett)
M: Medium body, low carboration.
D: I kind of like it. Still it's not what you would expect. Seames it's not what you should expect.

Too bad. The ordinary ale is much more interesting. Too much sugar. It gets better as you drink it. Got to get back about this one.

Amber/copper colored, with a tiny white head.

Smells of sweet and sour caramel, butter and some smoke/peat.

Strange and very sweet taste. Tobacco, smoke, tea, ripe fruit, vanilla.

Medium carbonation with small bubbles.

A big disapointment for me. Much too sweet and I couldn´t even finish half a bottle. Maybe it should be served colder.

This is a beer produced only for Innis & Gunns swedish customers.

A: Whisky-colored, thin lace.

S: Bread, smoke

T: Tar, smoke, fruit, vanilla, sugar.

M: Smooky sweet. A hint of sourness in the aftertaste. Medium carbonation.

An unique beer. Doesn't feel very balanced, the smoke
takes over completely. One bottle was more than enough. The normal Innis & Gunn feels more balanced and more genuine than this one.
Worth a try if you can get hold of it.
