I purchased a box set of three of their Oak Aged beers. This Rum Cask was poured into an Innis & Gunn ale glass. Little head that disappeared quickly.
The color is a beautiful amber/ruby.
The aroma is of rum spices, caramel, and cinnamon.
The taste is different than expected. Sweet up front with caramel, apple, and brown sugar. Finishes with the spices from the rum. Very little to no booziness, which was surprising to me.
Overall, I was a pit disappointed with this one. The complexity lacks in comparison to similar aged beers from the US. It's a drinkable beer...just nothing special.
