A: Nice darker, varnish brown color in the glass. Off-white head forms briefly.
S: Skunked. Skunky hops prevail in the nose. Very nice caramel and toffee notes hidden behind it, but the skunk cannot be ignored here.
T: A touch of skunk flavor hits the taste buds initially, and some nice malt flavors follow. Slight woody notes can be found in the mix as well.
M: Lighter for a scotch ale, but works well with this beer I think.
O: A pretty nice beer ruined by skunking. The clear bottles look really nice, but they do absolutely nothing for preserving the quality of a beer. I really hope these guys switch to brown bottles someday.
