A: pours a nice molasses tinged amber with a fair amount of quickly fading creamy white head. Leaves a nice bit of lacing around the glass.
S: sticky sweetness of malt and rum baked maple. muted character of dried fruit, yeast, and vanilla comes out as it warms, and the rum factor pronounces itself more boldy as the glass finishes as well...
T: sugary caramel sweetness. bready middle leading to a gummy rum cola finish.
M: very well balanced, smooth, and light feel.
O: much more impressed with this brew than I was with last night's introduction to Innis & Gunn with their regular Oak Aged Beer. this is a brew I'll remember and would have no trouble drinking again.
