330ml bottle poured into tulip 3/3/12

A clear reddish amber with a short lived two finger beige head that leaves no lace

S rye bread dipped in molasses with some vanilla

T some oak, cola and a little rum raisin on top of what I smell

M medium bodied with decent carbonation, spicy finish with just a little heat

O worth the price but not worth searching for

the pioneers of barrel aging beer haven't really kept up with the times IMO, decent stuff but not the best barrel aged offering I've had recently

Poured on tap at Sunset Boston.
Pours an amber brown with good head.
Smells of vanilla malts and alcohol - rum.
Taste is of malty alcohol. Typical scotch ale flavors but lots of rum flavors. It seems lacking and unbalanced.
Not my fav style but its ok. I wouldn't get again.

Pours a very clear dark brown like an extremely deep copper.

The sell is malty and buttery, kind of like buttered popcorn.

Flavor is somewhat unique, is that an oxymoron? There is toasty malt, caramel, butter, and some tartness.

The mouthfeel is slightly is slightly creamy with mild carbonation.

Filled at whole foods

Pours a nice ruby mahogany color with good head.

Smells of vanilla ish barrel ness, very rummy

Taste follows, great barrel taste, feels like rum. A bit boozy on the feel but its drinkable for sure and I enjoyed it.

Overall i liked it but not somethin i'd buy again

Pours a two finger head over a deep reddish brown mahogany body. Looks the part.

Complex sweet aromas of vanilla rum, raisins, caramel, which carry through to the taste, which seems sweeter to me than most Wee Heavys. Almost no hop presence.

Mouthfeel is silky smooth.

Overall, if you like sweet, you will like this. I do.
