Sampled on-tap at the brewpub.
This stout poured an impenetrable black through the body with hints of brown near the edges. The foam was dark brown and creamy, and settled leaving clumps and lace on the glass. The smell was dark, roasted malt with hints of sweetness and a touch of dark chocolate. There was also a faint note of lactic acid in the nose. The taste of this beer was rich, dark malt with some cocoa and a hint of lactose, with an underlying hoppiness. The mouthfeel had an initial sharpness upfront, but was very, very smooth and dry overall. The body was medium-full with light carbonation feel. The aftertaste resonated with roasted malty flavors. This was a very nice and beautifully smooth stout.

Allowed to acclimate to room temperature for 15 minutes, poured into a nonic pint.
Pours black with a 3.5 finger dark khaki head.
I get a smell of roastiness and some bitterness.
Taste follows smell immediately and in aftertaste with bitterness outweighing roastiness. More bitter than I expect from a stout. Also present is a hint of coffee. Might have reminded me a tiny bit of bit of soy sauce? I'm not sure, but it felt a little umami the same way as soy sauce or liquid aminos. I have to say I couldn't tell it was a milk stout
With under half left, I thought the buildup of the bitterness taste a little like the colors olive drab and pecan brown.
To be honest it's thin, it lacks the creaminess I expect from a milk stout and the richness I expect from a stout in general, although it's still smooth overall.
May buy again if cheap, but not otherwise, overall a good beer but not great.

Look: A rich and consistent color.
Smell: Kick of milk right to your nogin.
Taste: Bittersweet chocolate and some milk in it.
Feeling: Enough carbonation to make it enjoyable.
Overall: I thoroughly enjoyed drinking this beverage and I'd recommend you to try it yourself!

Poured with an inch thick head.
Smell: Malty and neutral. Not a particularly overbearing scent
Taste: Clean and malty initial taste followed by a sight hoppy/bitterness. Some cocoa aftertaste
Mouthfeel: More crisp and biting than smoother nitrogen infused versions of this type of beer
Overall: A good attempt at a milk stout but not particularly memorable or smooth.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a mug glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a medium beige head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains roasted malts, lactose, chocolate, coffee and a faint touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out with a hearty roasted malt character up front that is quickly followed by some lactose creaminess and flavors of milk chocolate and black coffee. There’s some mild sweetness as well. The hops presence is also mild as it should be in this style but is strong enough to create some balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to pound down for while if you’re in the mood for the style.
