Growler poured into a Portsmouth tulip.
A - Pours with a finger of loose rocky cream colored foam. A nice translucent orangey copper color fills the glass.
S - Smells rich and caramelly with some light buttered popcorn aroma. Hops are central to the aroma although not as up front as I'd like. Citrusy and grassy mostly, some pineapple and light apricot too.
T - Some alcohol, tons of caramel, a nice hoppy bitterness and some pineapple/tropical fruit character. Well balanced overall...maybe too well balanced for my liking giving a bit too much caramelly malt to be ideal for me. Some malty sweetness mixes in, at times seeming just right, at other times a bit cloying.
M - Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Get a light alcohol heat on the inhale and with every sip.
D - Good tasting DIPA...definitely not the best I've ever had, but quite good. Balanced toward the malt more than I'd like to see, but still plenty of hop flavor. Bitterness not quite up to the level that I expect out of a DIPA.

Bright golden body, hint of haze, but overall good clarity, bursting with carbonation streams. Two level fingers of bright white micro bubbles.
Big clean citrus and pine aroma.
Big sweet malty foundation slathers the tongue. Juicy fruit explodes. Bitterness snaps more than bites. Piney finish.
Solid medium-plus mouthfeel.
Damn good DIPA, and this bottle is over eight months old.

Bomber > Alpine Spring bow-tie glass
A - Pours out a really nice clear yellow straw color, with two fingers of foamy white head, good lacing.
S - Aroma is interesting and mildly complex, earthy and grassy hops, bread malt, a hint of rye and pepper, some slight belgian style clove and yeast, some grapefruit and mango fruit.
T - Unfortunately the taste isnt as complex as the aroma, but its still decent, good sweet malt base, nice mango flavor with some light grassy tones, biscuit hits you mid way, sweet on the end though.
M - Sticky feel, but not sickening.
O - I like the complex aroma, flavor is decent, I'd get it on tap, but wouldnt invest in another bomber.
