Welcome extra courtesy of lnashsig (thanks!). Poured from a 12oz bottle into my Dogfish Head shaped pint glass.

Very cloudy gradient of Persian-Orange to Pink-Orange topped by a lasting dense finger of papaya whip merengue. Heavy soapy lacing. Superior retention.

Faint biscuity malt aroma with a hint of orange marmalade; otherwise not much in the nose.

Bread crusts, white pepper, and thyme on the palate - moderately bitter though the breadiness negates the hops in the finish to some degree. Very earthy somewhat spicy, but surprisingly little fruit or bite throughout.

Well carbonated, soft, pillowy, and not-quite-medium bodied.

Most hop-heads will probably find this to be too malt-forward, but I enjoyed it anyway, and think it would pair well with low-and-slow smokey bbq among other things.

A - Bright golden-yellow that is slightly hazed. One finger eggshell white head with decent retention and good lacing.

S - Weak aroma of earthy and piney hops. Just a touch of pale malts comes through underneath. A hint of citrus even pokes in.

T - Light sweetness with a mix of citrusy hop bitterness and piney resin. The flavors just dont come together very well and arent particularly impressive on their own.

M/D - Medium bodied but nothing spectacular. Taste is very average but teh beer is easy to drink. Just nothing going on to make me want more.

12 oz. bottle tried 6 Jun 2010.

Served in the infamous Liquor Mart shaker pint. Small light tan head. Medium carbonation. Slightly hazy orange amber color. resin, pine and cotton candy aroma. A says 'Like a circus in a pine forest'. Like a sugar dipped deep fried pine cone. In a good way. Relatively sweet but with an nice underlying piney bitterness. Medium light body. Moderate ethanol.

Except for the price could drink this all day long.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Looks like a bottling code on the bottom of the bottle but it was offset so the first part was cut-off. Was a hazy golden yellow color with some carb streams. It had a small head that settled into a good collar and a thin covering film. Moderate lacing with some sticking.

The aroma was nice and hoppy with pine and citric pith leading the way. Some caramel malt as well but this is a hop show so just a touch. The taste was also nice and hoppy and again pine leading the way. Also getting some grassy hops as well. Some malt. Mouthfeel was medium with good carbonation. Moderate bitter aftertaste.

Overall, a good IPA that, as others stated, won't blow you away but just seems to hit the easy drinking sweet spot. From Austin so available in TX obviously. Rotation - worth the occasional single in mixed hoppy sixer or maybe even a 4pk. Would like to try on tap [O;Y]

Pours a hazy bright golden orange with a tight, frothy white head that leaves little chunks of lacing.

Smells of pine hops mostly with some citrus background.

Tastes of the hops upfront layered on top of a solid malt base. Hops lead off with citrus, floral, and pine notes. Solid amount of bitterness. Malts come through with toasted bread and a bit of caramel sweetness. A pretty good balance to it.

Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, a solid IPA, but doesn't really stand out among its competition.

From notes. 1 finger white fades fades to ring promptly. Slightly hazy, coppe/orange. SMELL is weak and grainy with low hop presence. TASTE is sweet, malt forward with underlying sharp piny bitterness that lingers. Not very complex. Reasonably smooth, bit off balance. FEEL medium body, pleasant texture, some drying and bitterness in the finish. Mellow enough to session, but not very interesting. Way too many better IPA's to be drinking this one regularly.
