A - Pours jet black into my snifter with two fingers of dense tan head that has great retention and sticky lacing.

S - Big Roasted malts, milky sweet chocolate, espresso, oats and a touch of vanilla.

T - Like the nose, big roasted malts, sweet chocolate and oats, bitter espresso, brown sugar and vanilla. It almost has an Irish cream type quality to it.

M - Very smooth and creamy, really coats the palate and is very well balanced.

O - This is a diamond in the rough that totally deserves more credit than it gets! Awesome oatmeal stout that comes in a 4pk for the same price as a bomber of something comparable.

This is actually the first oatmeal stout I have tried. I've been stuck on IPA's over the summer, and I picked this up at HEB on a whim, as a change of pace.

Pours a dark black, with about a finger of tan head that maintained through most of the time I was drinking this beer. It left a nice pattern of tan rings down the side of the glass.

Initial impression on the nose was sweet, with hints of chocolate.

Taste is chocolate, coffee, with a lightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is fairly creamy compared to the beers I've been drinking lately. I had to go back and check to see that this is 9% ABV, the alcohol is pretty well hidden in this beer

Overall, I like this, and will put it on my list to get again. If there are better oatmeal stouts I'm looking forward to trying them.
