This pours with a dark orangish hue and a lot of foam. Lightly hopped, aroma-wise, with a crisp hop flavor. What stands out is that there’s an interesting ‘orange bitters’ quality on the finish as well. It’s a well-rounded ESB overall, and one I'd certainly drink again.

A. Pours a slightly hazy amber-brown colour with an off-white head. Minimal lace.
S. Some toffee/caramel malts, a little grain, some tangy, citrusy hop aromas.
T. More of the same with a deliciously dry finish. Nice hop character.
M. Medium bodied, a little prickly.
O. I'd be tempted to call this an ASB (American Special Bitter) if such a thing existed. Hey, maybe it does now! The balance leans a little too much towards the hops, I felt. A nice beer to drink though. Independence keeps coming up with plenty of those.
