Good way to commemorate the brewery's tenth. Poured thick and hazy from the bomber. It had an opaque dark gold color with a white head reduced to slick and bubbles very quickly. The smell was fresh and full of hops with just a bite of malts noting flavors of honey and caramel. The alcohol was very well masked. The taste was Middle Ages through and through with the ringwood characteristics drowning out the potential hoppiness. There was a huge malt backbone, but again the alcohol was masked by various flavors. The moutfeel was creamy and smooth. All in all a good effort and easy drinking for such an ABV.

A: hazy; burnt orange in color; 1 finger off white head that receded to a thin cap; light lacing;

S: booze and caramel malt;

T: caramel malt first; booze in mid-palate that fades as you get to the finish; if you wait, you get a touch of bitterness;

M: a touch syrupy; moderate carbonation;

O: no hops; other reviewers had a very different experience and what they tasted was what I was hoping for; perhaps I had an old bottle, but I couldn't find a date; if I find a bottle with a fresh date, I'll try it again;

Bottle purchased at Middle Ages Brewing Company in Syracuse, NY. Poured into a Rooster Fish tulip.

Pours a dark orange, with a billowing 2 inch head, and really good strings of lacing down the glass.

Smells include grassy hops, pine sap, pine needles, honey, and sweet malt.

The taste is similar. This straddles the line between Imperial English IPA and American Double IPA- lots of characteristics from both are in this. There is an enhanced malt flavor, very honey-like, with some dry crackery malt like characteristics. There is a huge hop slant to this beer though- lots of grapefruit, pine, and fresh cut grass all battle out. This is a huge IPA, with tons of flavors all battling each other. It could be slighly better melded together, and cleaner, but you can't deny it tastes good.

Medium bodied, sticky mouthfeel, finishes sweet. The alcohol is present a little bit, but doesn't detract too much.

This is a great DIPA from Middle Ages. Due to their English leaning and yeast use (Ringwood), this doesn't taste like a normal DIPA, but it still quite tasty and I enjoyed it.

A-Clear ruby orange, two finger white head, with lots of lacing.

S-Citrus, dirt, grassy, pine tad bit of bread, nice hop notes.

T-Starts with some citrus, grass, bread, nice bitterness.

M-Lighter to medium in body, some hop bite.

O-A regular run of the mill DIPA. Yeah it is good, but in such a saturated market this does nothing to stand out. That being said ~7 dollars a bomber is a nice price.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a cloudy golden amber color with a finger thick white head. Smell is pretty weak. Mostly floral hops. Not much else. Taste is mostly citrus and floral hops with a good amount of bitterness and slight sweetness. Not much else really. The alcohol is covered up pretty well though by the bitterness. Mouth is very crisp, but maybe a bit too carbonated and heavy. Overall, an okay brew, but lacks in flavor.
