Poured into 2 pint glasses. Stable sediment. Small white head atop an orange-brown liquid. Aroma has strong elements of biscuit and alcohol. Flavorwise, it's a lot of biscuit and caramel and quite a bit of alcohol. Quite nice. At first I thought this was a barleywine. It's got a lot of bitterness but I really didn't feel it was DIPA level hoppiness. There's a steady, slightly harsh hop bitterness but the hop flavor is definitely not what I expected. Not your regular citrus or pine -- more floral, for lack of a better description. Need a second taste to try and pin down the hop flavor. Malt lasts to the end. Finish leans to the sweet. Alcohol quite noticeable. Again, I thought this was a barleywine with a little extra bittering. Definitely not a hop monster.
Overall: a unique biscuity bitter strong ale

Part one of my beer haul from a Syracuse trip.
Hazy deep amber hue with a short but persistent head.
Ripe mangoes and plums come forth on the nose..A hint alcoholic..subtle yet foreboding.
Taste is in line with the aroma..except there is not a hint of heat at all..a real sneaky brew at 10%.
Full rich mouthfeel with fine, mild carbonation. All in all an outstanding DIPA and definitely a repeat buy in the future!

L: Pours hazy copper tinted amber under a 2” fluffy white foam collar that grips the side of the glass.
S: Fruit, alcohol, resin, pine.
T: Light fruit, peach, melon, bitter finish.
F: Creamy, medium body and slightly below medium carbonation.
O: A big double IPA loaded with alcohol that is barely apparent.
