I have to say, I will make this a regular spot each time I am in New York! This place was easy to get to from Grand Central Terminal after a brief walk. It is also near the Empire State Building. It's unassuming... you could easily walk right by it (which we did the first time!). It has that feel of being one of those hip NYC places and yet it wasn't TOO trendy or upscale. It is a must-see destination for beer lovers. My friend and I sat in the front where it is bright with a view of the street. When I walked toward the back to use the bathrooms I went past tables for eating and then a room nestled in the back, dim, filled with comfortable looking couches. The place was fairly empty when we arrived at around 3:30 pm but we stayed until almost 6:30 and the place really filled up when the work day ended and the dinner hour began. Many patrons just stood around the bar just drinking and chatting. The food is very expensive. Good, but you don't get much for the price. Likewise, the beer is also on the high side but don't let the price deter you. We spent about $86 (inlcuding tip) on around 7 beers, a sandwich, a salad, and chips. It was worth it for the selection of on-tap and bottled beer. The waitress was friendly, knowledgable and even shared a sip of our beer! I will definitely be back next time I am in NYC!

Best Mid-Town bar. Casket-treated beers are awesome. Excellent whiskey menu also!

Had some time to kill waiting for my train from Penn Station, so I picked this place over the other pubs on the same street based on their advertisement for Sierra Nevada Beer Camp. Silly but I guess advertisement works.

Atmosphere - Nice and comfortable, booths, tables, or bar. I chose table by an outlet to recharge phone.

Quality - Club sandwich was tasty, perfect to compliment my flight of four beers

Service - Waitress was knowledgable and friendly.

Beer selection was great, had beers not available in NH.

Overall I would recommend and go back if in the area again.
