I've been here on a few occasions and my experiences have all been different. On nights when it was packed, the service SUCKED and the vibe SUCKED...but on nights where it wasn't packed, service was fantastic and the vibe was fantastic. I love that they host beer events and are walking distance from my office and Penn Station.
There is a lot going for this bar and you've got to realize that this bar is it is centrally located, stocks and rotates amazing beers constantly, has competitive pricing for NYC especially for the rare brews they offer on tap and in bottles. It is also great that they offer growlers and take away. Considering that in this city you can find bars that sell budlight for $8 - $10 the prices are a bit justified when you think about the selection. However, you can probably do better on some of the take-aways if you are looking to just buy and run, but should be plenty worth stopping by for a growler.
Worth a stop in if you are a local or a tourist. Unless you are a real beer veteran, you'll find something you haven't had before either on tap or in bottle. Food looks/smells good, though I haven't had it.
