The look well a nice bold dark brown head an even darker brown nearing black body a heavy lacing left over , the smell is great very much so cappuccino and black coffeeish with some typical beery notes the taste honestly over powering strong coffee flavor this is from an avid coffee drinker but I drank it over 2 days with a napkin in the top sipping on it little by little until the it'd been slowly I guess relieving some of the flavor maybe it just got a lot colder after over a day with a napkin in the top it ended up with a nice flavor don't know the science behind that one and I've got a a lot of chemistry knowledge but anyways freshly poured up it was over poweringly coffee like I'd almost say it had to be made from coffee that'd been on the burner for days like just very potent coffee flavor even for one who loves good strong coffee mouthfeel well carbonated nice body heavier than even a Guinness extra stout I didn't pick up a lot of malty or hoppy notes in the whole thing until it had sat open for awhile then it had a great dark malt type scent under the coffee notes and the flavor after the coffee flavor mellowed you could taste a nice smooth stout so ill give it a 3.75 like it's interesting but over poweringly coffee flavor fresh on the pour

Pours a jet black with a chocolate colored one-finger head. The head sticks around for a while, finally settling at a medium-sized layer of foam on top. Lacing is pretty sticky.

Smell is very good. At first it's more of a coffee and chocolate aroma, but as it warms the oatmeal comes out a little more and there's even a hint of vanilla in there. Lots of stuff going on.

Tastes great. Much like the smell, the coffee flavor gives way to the chocolate flavor in the beginning with a decent amount of bitterness at the end. As it warms the oatmeal becomes more apparent and it sweetens, with a vanilla taste. The taste sticks around for a while too, I could still taste the oatmeal on my way out of the bar.

Mouthfeel is good. It's a bit thin for a stout, but the carbonation is very good. Goes down smoother as it warms.

This is a very drinkable beer. The only reason it sat so long is because I was eating, otherwise I probably would've had to order another.

If you make it over to this place, definitely try this beer if it's on-tap.

Appearance: Inky black body with a full finger of dense, khaki-colored foam that leaves loads of splotchy lacing resembling a Rorschach test.

Smell: Strong, redolent coffee liqueur aroma packed with roast and melty dark chocolate.

Taste: Crammed full of maltiness, roast, and dark chocolate. Wrapped in a luxurious, dessertlike sweetness. Some tastes of toffee. Mild roasty bitterness. Rich, espresso-soaked, warming finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Mild carbonation. Silky texture.

Drinkability: Mighty fine! I am delighted and impressed with the deliciousness on display here.

Served in a goblet. ABV 10.5% according to the bartender. Super, jet black appearance with a tiny ray of red light coming through the bottom.
Aroma- coffee
Taste- big coffee hit, then creaminess. Mouthfeel of chocolate, vanilla, bitter hops, fumey alcohol then back to the coffee.
Finish is very smooth for all the flavors going on. Would love to have this next to a Terrapin Wake & Bake.

Pours a rich, opaque sable with a thick, dark tan, fine-bubbled, long-lasting head. Well-rounded aroma of smoky, burnt coffee with just a hint of chocolate or molasses. Smoky flavor has very strong coffee component and a chocolate undertone. It goes down smoothly, leaving an aftertaste of burnt coffee and unsweetened chocolate. Delicious!
