An excerpt from the brewpub's beer menu reads:
"This pilsner is golden in color with a slight malt character. Using premium German and Czech hops give Hoppy Pils a pleasan dry and hoppy finish. It is crisp, clean, and the cure for any Ale-ment!"

A robust Lager with fuller flavor than most, packed full of hop aroma, flavor, and bitterness to balance the tame bready-sweet malt base.

Medium gold in color, the beer carries a bright hue that proudly displays its carbonaiton streams. Fueling a froathy white head, those streams give a spritzy appearance to the beer. Moderate on lace, the beer has an overall inviting appearance.

Hop spice and overall floral character hits the olfactories first with a bright flowery scent and a spicy grass note. Backed by light grain and overally bready sweetness, the aromas are fresh, vibrant, and beg for consumption.

In somewhat reverse order, the powdered sugar sweetness of pilsner-like barley with a mild starchy bread taste give a decidedly cracker-like flavor to the beer's base. Spicy hops bounce from the malts with a cleaner, earthy spice bitterness that round out the finish. A spicy plastic note becomes a slight and short-lived pest at mid palate and is the only deterrant. Mild sulfur and ester character combine for a light apple taste to mask the yeasty plastic note.

Medium bodied, but perhaps a bit full for most Lagers the texture starts creamy and expansive with the ample carbonation. But soon after, the carbonation releases as the hop bitterness rise to provide a crisp and clean finish with mild alcohol warmth and grassy astringency.

A very nice Pilsner with brewery-fresh quality. Applause should be shared by the passing beer drinker and craft beer enthusiasts alike, as this is a very non-offensive beer with boldness and fullness.

Pours a nice clear golden with a decent white head, typical for a pils but still appetizing. Aroma is crisp and malty with a subtle hoppy undertone. Flavor is malty, slightly hoppy, slightly bitter, better than most pilsners I have had. Texture is fairly smooth with a good tingle. Normally I don't care much for pilsners, but I like this one.

On-tap at the brewpub.

Pours a clear golden color with a one-finger white head. The head recedes into a wispy layer on top leaving solid lacing.

Smells of crisp pilsner malts with good amounts of floral and leafy hops. Also present and slightly more prevalent as the beer warms are hints of sulfur.

Tastes very good. Smooth pilsner malt flavors kick things off and are joined quickly by solid amounts of leafy hop flavors. The pilsner malts dry out a bit midway through the sip and are joined by moderately bitter spicy hop flavors. The hops intensify through to a solidly bitter ending.

Mouthfeel is good. It's got a nice thickness with active carbonation.

Drinkability is very good. I finished my glass quickly and could easily have a few more.

Overall I was a big fan of this beer, an absurdly crisp pilsner that goes down easily. Well worth a shot.

Appearance: Served up a crystal clear, yellow body capped with a crown of white suds.

Smell: Lightly grainy whiff of Pils malt with scents of vibrant Noble hops imparting hints of dried flowers and piquant spices.

Taste: Particularly pale and pilsner malts tasting of crisped grains dusted with just a small bit of icing sugar. In comes the zesty, spicy, floral Noble hops with a goodly dose of bitterness. Finishes rightly dry, lightly crisp, and with touch of those Noble hops lingering into the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Drinkability: Excellent for refreshing Summertime drinking, it has plenty of flavor and a definite ease of drinkability.

Serving type: on-tap
