12oz can. Consumed 12/03/09

A) Pours with a quick head that settles quickly leaving a thin lacing at the edge of the glass. The body is clear. Upward carbonation. Straw colored.
S) Grainy. Light nutty-ness. Mellow floral aroma.
T) Grainy with citrus notes. The malts are subtle and subdued by the grainy dryness. Hints of hops linger in the finish.
M) Mild fizziness. Dry. Light body.
D) A decent brew, light but still good.

Got this @ Trackside in Medicine Hat, Ab. Part of there summer sampler.

Bright golden yellow, clear. Nice thick head formation.

Light toasted grain, slightly spicy hop aroma

Smooth bready malt and some semblance of pilsner hop. Smooth. Slight metallic graininess in the finish

Smooth, medium body. Could use a tweak in the carbonation as it would impart more crispness

Decent, easy drinking beer

Appearance: With a rocky head that is an inch tall. After it thins out there is a good ring of lacing left behind.

Aroma: Hops are citrusy adn a little bit dry which is a good thing. Malts are bicuity with twinges of butteryness in the nose.

Taste: Non citrus fruit textures pears and apples. Biscuity bits from the malts with a note of butter. The carbonation is good that is crisp with a citrus bite.

Notes: This one is quite a tasty German Pilsner a good pick up. Cheers.

Very pale, transparent body with lots of visible carbonation. The beer maintains a cover of bright white head. Looks mostly like your average lager.

Smells of light peppery hops (almost reminiscent of Japanese-style lager). A little dust. Very light malt with a little candy in the background. Doesn't really stand out.

A light, well-balanced lager. Decent amount of fresh grain flavour, which seems to set it apart from a macro lager. I almost feel like they did use Sorachi Ace here, maybe blended with other hop varieties. There's that nice lemon-pepper thing you find in rice lagers. No off flavours but I wish they had gone for something a little more forward. Well-made but a little on the boring side. This is listed as a pilsner but nowhere on the can does it say pilsner. Was the intention here to be a pilsner?

Decent medium-light body for a lager. Carbonation is a little on the fizzy side but I think it fits here.

I could easily drink a sixer of this stuff if I was in the mood for a light lager. There are better lagers out there but there are also much, much worse. I could see myself picking some of this up for a party or something if I lived in BC.

From: Premier Wine & Spirits

A: Pale straw golden body with two fingers of white fluffy head. Dissipated quickly and leaves little lacing.

S: Faint notes of grassy grains and malts. Not pleasing.

T: Much like the aromas, very weak notes of grassy hops and some malt backbone.

M: Light bodied and medium low carbonation. Water like texture and leaves little aftertaste.

D: This comes off as slightly flavoured water. Very disappointing.

Recently popped up on the east coast.

Pours a nice pale gold color with lots of fizzy head. Head quickly settles down to a patchwork film on top, plus sporadic lacing on the side of the glass.

Nice slightly sweet floral aroma with a small amount of hops in the nose as well.

Taste is a minor sweetness with a bit of grain. Some hop notes in the end, but nothing major. Mild malt flavor as well.

Overall, this is a pretty decent pils. Might be a nice gateway beer to introduce people to craft beer.

A: Pours a pale yellow color with a two finger head that dissipates to a small amount of lacing around the glass.

S: Faint smell of light malts with not a whole lot else going on. Maybe a little bit of pale wheat and very light on the hops.

T: Taste is a lot like the smells, some light wheat and malt with a tiny bit of hops.

M: A little bit of carbonation bites the tongue works well with the lightness of all the flavors.

O: Overall, all right. Nothing particularly memorable, but it's a decent lager that comes in a can.

12oz can poured into a tulip glass.

A: Clear, light yellow or pale gold with a thick 1 1/2 inch foamy head.

S: Typical lager yeast aroma, although more floral notes than typical. Hints of citrus flavors as well.

T: Light, crisp and refreshing. Citrus flavors really come on mid taste with some biscuity flavors on the finish.

M: Light to medium-light body, high carbonation. Quite dry.

D: Must admin that I don't review a lot of lagers since most of them are picnic swill you get stuck drinking at a neighbors when you neglected to BYOB. But this lager is nice, freshing, and easy to drink. Quite different from many of the macro beers out there.

Can into a Sam Adams pint glass
Pours a very light yellow with a one-finger head which settles to a film quickly. Lacing is nice for a lager, forming white rings as you sip. Nose is yeast, lemon, perfume, and hay. Taste is subdued - grassy and touch of lemon with some sweet bisuit. Mouthfeel is very light but with good carbonation. Somewhat dry at the finish. I admit this is not a favorite style of mine but this would clearly be a good gateway beer for someone who is into macros. I will pass.

A clear pale golden/straw color with a frothy head that has some retention and leaves some lacing. Some bubbles alongside of the glass aswell.

Bready, hay and some floral hops in the nose.

Grain, a bit sweetness, mild floral and citrus hops with some bitterness.

A bit dry with a light body and a bit fizzy carbonation.
