Visited the West Broadway location for lunch yesterday. This place is like the other locations you may have read about. Pristine, very tasteful and a very european feel to it, obviously uniquely Belgian. It's not a place to hang out for a long session, but a great place to visit for a tasty lunch and high quality Belgian beer selection. The food selection is ample, all of a Belgian variety. I had to go with the homemade macaroni and cheese which I had read about before. It was excellent, with ample delicious, fresh melted cheese and chunks of ham in a hearty sized bowl. Enjoyed a Corsendunk Brown and Gouden Carolus (both small bottles) of course in proper glassware, to go along with my entre. Also tasted the Belgian waffle banana split for dessert which was awesome. I noticed it took awhile to get the bilI, but was advised Belgians feel it is rude to bring the check to the table without being asked. I can easily see this as a place to stop in on a Saturday afternoon or even for dinner. Tasteful decor. Extensive Belgian-only bottle selection. Three on tap including Leffe Blonde, Hoegarden. A worthwhile place to visit.

I've walked by this place many, many times. On my way to, say, Korin to buy Japanese knives... or to anotheroom to grab a quality beer. Or to Walker's to have their stunning bloody-rare burger! At any rate, I had never stopped here until last week when I was lured by the half-price beer special. Mondays only!

Sort of a French-Mediterranean space inside, marine-blue colors, bistro ambiance.... it does the trick, why not. You could be in Belgium, or Southern France. Tables outside are a good deal, because West Broadway is a rather quiet street and you can enjoy a nice lunch out there.

14 taps, with great quality: Tripel Karmeliet, Delirium, Leffe Brune, Kwak, Chouffe, Palm, Duvel, Sixpoint Buzz (house beer), Maredsous Dark, Chouffe Dark, Chouffe Biere du Soleil, Framboise Lambic...

A small menu of so-called "traditional Belgian cuisine" is offered, but it is more like continental-bistro food. I had the "leek stoemp", or mashed potatoes with leek. They were nice. They also have a bar menu with snacks and small bites.

Great jazz/standards music, and Tintin comic books on the wall for you to read. Very cool!

I paid five dollars each for my Tripel Karmeliet and Maredsous Dark, but that means they cost a whopping $10-$11 on a regular day. I will be back, but only for the Monday special!

(From notes)

This is the second Petite Abeille location that I've visited, and I have to say that it is quite nice in terms of atmosphere. Smallish on the inside, but with a nice long wrap-around bar. Very much a Benelux-Euro country feel inside, and it is indeed pretty laid back which is very nice.

Quality brews in terms of bottles, and only a handful of unmemorable brews on tap. The prices are a bit high for my taste, but you can do worse in the surrounding areas, ie you could pay quite a bit for mediocre brews, but at least you are guaranteed good beer here.

Nice seating area outside on the sidewalk in the front. Definitely not a bad place at all, but I won't be running there again considering the prices. Don't get me wrong, nice stuff available, but nothing rare to demand the price points.

Can't say a bad thing about this place. Tried it because I was in the area at lunchtime, based on the prior review. Small place, 12 or so seating at the bar, 10 or so tables, a single unisex bathroom. 3 taps (stella, hoegarden, leffe brune). An excellent bottle selection of belgian beer, broken down by type and giving information like alcohol content. Had a few very yummy beers, which were surprisingly not overpriced. The lunch menu was limited, but different, and the food delicious. Service was outstanding, attentive and happy. The bartender made a point of mentioning their monday special: half price belgian beer. Too bad it was thursday. But I will be sure to try and schedule my next court appearance in the area for a monday, for I will be returning to this establishment.

Anouther of the group of Petite Abeilles to be found in NYC. Like the others this is a charming, pleasant, low key place for some tasty Belgian inspired grub and also a place to sample some tasty Belgian brew. This one is pretty small, with about 6-7 tables inside, about 4-5 outside and a nice relaxed bar also inside. Alot of Tin-Tin cartoon art on the walls. The Staff was very friendly. Only 3 on draft (Stella, ? and Leffe Brun), but about 25 bottles. 20 more common ones and then anouther 5 or so that were more intriging. Nice place for lunch or dinner. Or just to sample some tasty Belgians in a cool low key Belgian athmosphere
