draught
Really dark auburn/chestnut color. Laid back, mulled spice aroma, with a dark roast, sweet malt note. Some booziness up front, with a toffee and caramel malt flavor, with a bit of a prune/raisin note. A bit thin in the body and lacks a lingering finish.

Thoroughly enjoyed from the growler via the brewery. This most excellent Grand Cru pours a beautiful dark brown with mahogany highlights and a fantastic head of tan foam with a vigorous pour that dissipates to a thin layer and moderately thick ring with nice lacing. Nose of sweet Belgian candy sugars, plums, brandy, dark cherries, subtle yeast, and moderate booze. Flavors follow the nose with excellent strong sweet candy sugars to the front, light tropical fruits of orange and pineapple meld with peaches in the middle, and a brandy like flavor on the rear with a strong satisfying warmth. A subtle tartness comes into play on the aftertaste finishing moderately dry, and featuring a lightly carbonated mouth feel making this one a fantastic sipper.
Of note, there was also an aged version called 1000 I also tried that was excellent, but liked this one a bit better----that and I only had 3 growlers.
One of the best ales I have had this year and now in my top favorites for the style....and made in Ohio to boot. THAT says something.

I actually had an aged version of this excellent beer. it was Infinity + 1. It was aged for one full year, which helped smooth out and mellow an already excellent beer. It is a dark brown ale, with a nice, full tan head. It starts with a full, rich, fruity aroma and finishes with a remarkable smoothness. At 10.6% ABV, it is a beer to be sipped slowly.

Featured on tap at Bodega as a part of their tribute week for the Belgian independence day. 10oz pour into a tulip.
Appearance
This has a deep and rich red color to it. Browns and purples dye the beer down to a dark mahogany color. Not much head and no lacing.
Aroma
Very sweet, this smells like a really big Dubbel to me. There is a lot of sweet cherry that imparts only a faint tartness that keeps the fruitness smelling fresh. Belgian yeast is there but nicely seated beneath everything else. A little hint of sour dough, plum and a nip of candied citrus.
Taste
The nose had me ready for a sweeter beer, and that's what I got. Lots of cherry and juicy plum. Only a faint fruit skin tannic tartness is there, but that's welcomed as it helps cut the sweetness.
Mouthfeel
The carbonation was light but full, it seem to want to expand in the mouth.
Overall
This is a really good Belgian from Barley's. They are new into the game of Belgian styles, but so far they are doing well. The important thing to note is that they know not to let the yeast carry their beers down river.
