When you walk in, the first thing that you will see is the micro display. Stone, Ommegang and several others line the shelves. Not a bad selection at all. Not a hegedorns or BOTW by any means, but still not bad. For a city located shop, the selectio is very good. The service leaves something to be desired. A lack of beer knowledge turned me off for a minute, so I figured, scew it. I bought Untouchable. Not a great beer, but it could have been much worse. When I'm in the area, I'll make a stop. But if I'm really looking for something to blow my mind, I'll stick with Hegedorns and BOTW.

All in all not a bad place. It's no beers of the world, but if it's american micro's your looking for, this place has you covered. Stone, Rouge, Victory, Southern Tier, Bear Republic, and much more. Not many imports, but most of the time I'm not shopping for imports anyway. The size of the store makes it very quick to go in, grab a bomber of stone, and get back in the car in no time. And since its so much closer to my house than beers of the world, I'll be making many a return visit. Plus the hours are much more convienent for a booze hound like myself. Thank God. Definitly worth checkin out.

Towne Club Beverage on Park Ave. is the newest player in the local craft beer retail arena. I was told they have been open about a month. TC is located behind the Wilson Farms market near Park and Berkeley. A note of caution: be aware that for the most part its not visible from the street. Parking can be found in the lot that serves WF, Eckerd Drugs, UPS Store, Cobbs Hill Pizza, etc.
Selection of American micros is good Bear Republic, Southern Tier, Stone, Smutty, North Coast, Grants, Lost Coast, Mad River, Ommegang, Ithaca to name a few, in addition to some of the more common brands - Brooklyn, Otter Creek, Wolaver's, Sierra Nevada, Saranac, Dundees, Shipyard and more. Imports seemed to be primarily mainstream, although I did spot Delerium Tremens and a couple other decent selections.
Service was friendly if not terribly knowledgeable. The manager(?) did write down a special request for me. BA shelf talkers are a big plus. Im guessing the selection will develop/grow as they establish themselves. A worthy beer stop in an area where the demographics should support it well (in addition to Magnolias).
