I saw this on the website noted as the 2004 cellared version available now on tap. Having never been to this brewery before of course this sealed the deal and I was off for another beer adventure.
A - not quite golden, not quite brow-gold with a nice 1/4 inch off white head.
S - light sweet malts, belgian candi sugar mixed with an undertone of belgian yeast / funk topped off with a hint of spices.
T - Mildly funky / yeasty spicy with a rounding out of light sweet malts.
M - medium bodied, clean and dry in the finish.
D - a bit underwhelming in some regards, simplistically divine in others. Patiences yields the best reward for this brew. Cold right off the tap and it's too subdued.
Serving type: on-tap
