Thanks to cistercian12 for this extra in a trade! Reviewed from notes. Poured from 12 oz. can into a Weyerbacher pint glass.

A: Hazy light gold with a finger of white fluffy head and a good amount of visible carbonation. It rather looks more like a light wheat beer or a berliner than a typical pils.

S: Pilsner malts with a moderate DMS undertones, lager yeasts with a bit of lemony esters, and some wheat graininess.

T: Light pilsner malts with only mild sulfurous character, some mild hop bitterness (although I would consider it a heavy hop presence for style) with floral and grassy flavors with a nice amount of bitterness. Some lager yeastiness with lemon citrus fruity esters. Clean finish, with just a mild hop bitterness in the hang.

M: Light body but good carbonation sensation prevents it from feeling watery. Low alcohol presence.

O: This was really quite tasty. I'm not sure the higher hop presence is appropriate to style, but I really enjoyed it. Maybe my favorite Pilsner I've had.

Bought a 12 pack sampler cans while on vacation at Delaware shore with best by date on bottom of 7/19/14 (drinking it on 7/11).

Has more of an orange IPA appearance than the normal yellow/straw color of other pilsners I've seen. Nice puffy head with lots of carbonation and great retention.

Has a very pleasant smell for a pils. German hops, grassy smell. Very nice.

Taste - Taste was a little off putting at first and not really sure what flavors I'm picking up here. Perhaps a sweet cracker kinda taste? After a few more sips, I've gotten used to this unique flavor profile on a pilsner and its sessionable. Has your typical dry/crisp finish for a pilsner. I'm really not picking up much of the typical Noble hop flavors in this one.

Mouthfeel is fine for a a cold summer beer.

Overall - Its a fine beer. Not the best flavor profile representative of the style, but is still a good summer brew and enjoyable.

Poured from the can into a pilsner glass, this beer was a hazy yellow color with a small white head.

Aroma mostly floral and grassy. There was a tiny bit of citrus, and an even smaller bit of spice.

Taste of lemon and grapefruit. Flowery. A bready background. There was some late pepper.

A hoppy and refreshing pilsner. Would drink this again.

Served on-tap in a Shaker pint glass at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).

A: Slightly hazy golden hue with a short cap of nearly white head with a short rim of lacing near the top of the glass.

S: Solid pilsener aroma of slight sulfur, floral, spicy hoppiness, and a big bready maltiness

T: The bready maltiness is the big leader in the flavor of this brew, but it is nicely balanced by punches of floral, herbal, spicy noble hops. No yeast chracter or evident alcohol character. Light-moderate bitterness also enhances drinkability.

M: Also on point with light body and active carbonation.

O: A really fine German pils with a nice bready, crackery malt character and good dose of bitterness from noble hopping.

A 355ml can with a BB of Oct 2013, so it's just out of date. Acquired a little while back from Trembling Madness in York. Described on the label as a North-German style pilsner.

Poured into a stemmed pilsner glass. A hazy pale-gold hue with plentiful carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam with good stability; this slowly subsides to a thick surface layer. Lovely lacing - this beer looks spot on. Aroma of light, grainy malt with hints of noble hops, grass/hay, subtle floral notes and earthy yeast. Possesses a depth that only properly matured lagers have.

Tastes of light malt and grassy hops, with a crisp, dry finish. Notes of mild grain, grass/hay, noble hops, faint floral hints, earthy yeast and stewed hops. Well-attenuated, with a twinge of sulphur in the background. A restrained, leafy bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and good body for the style. Slightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of bitter noble hops and faint earthy yeast.

Nice - a tasty pilsner with good depth. It looks superb (perhaps enhanced by the glass), while the aroma and flavour have subtle hop and malt notes that balance perfectly. Good body. A great little brew - crisp and refreshing. Well worth grabbing if you come across it.
