12oz can poured into a snifter.

A: Crystal clear copper with a big white head and lots of noticeable carbonation. Very nice looking, but this is where the beauty ends.

S: Piss. This seriously smells like urine. It's so unappealing that every sip I take I try not to smell my glass.

T: Tastes like I just drank from a cup that I asked a nurse from an old folks home to go around and fill up with all the discharge from everybody's catheters. All flavors are muted by this piss taste.

M: Feels like I just tasted a golden shower. Leaves an acidic burn in the back of my throat. So unappealing.

O: Bought this on a whim, and I want my damn money back. Stay away from this. This is hands down the worst Oktoberfest I've ever had in my life, and probably one of the worst craft beers I've ever had period. Downright nasty.

Poured into a pint glass from a can. Slightly hazy golden amber body topped by a respectable head. The head drops down to a few bubbles on the surface, leaving a very moderate lacing on the glass. Seems to have some decent carbonation.

The smell is mild, hinting at the caramel malts and a clean lager taste. Very mild aroma of hops come out as the beer comes to cellar temp. Has a lightly sweet smell to it.

This is a light-bodied Oktoberfest, with a decent amount of carbonation. The flavor is also very light, with just a small flavor of toasted malt. Really not much in the way of bitterness here. Subtle bitterness in the finish, but just barely there, only in a balancing role. It lacks a more impactful flavor. Notes of wet hay, biscuit malt, butterscotch, and a grassy hop presence.

I would not venture to get this one again. It's not poorly made, but it strikes me as one of many decent, but not great, Oktoberfests. Ultimately it's a forgettable beer. Easy to drink? Yes. But I've had far better. Lagers don't have to be boring.

Pours hazed and very light amber with an orange hue . Lager bubbles coming up from the bottom. It had a finger and a half of loose off white foam that fell quickly to a thin ring and soapy wet lace as you drink.

Nose is simple and yeasty lager smell. Bready with a touch of malt sweetness. There is some hop pungency on the nose and I thought I smelled a bit of onion. I will call it hop herbal instead. As it warmed the malt became a tad sweeter on the nose.

Taste is terrific and light. It has a light bread with only a touch of malt sweetness that intensifies slightly as you drink. There is a hop presence on the palate and a gentle bitter on the tongue right before the finish. It finishes crisp and dry with silky bread to flow but no real caramel taste. It's not that the malt is not sweet and only by the end of the glass are you noticing a bit of nutty or any toasted quality. The malt in this one is slow to be realized but it is there and by the end of the drink it has a bit more body. Carbonation in ample and mouthfeel is clean.

I think sly fox has a great way of making very smooth lagers that drink very easily and flow across the palate like water. This one is certainly tasty and while you might start out thinking it's too light by mid glass you are tasting hearty bread (with the crusts even) and a smooth malt. it may not have the dark color of other octoberfests but it drinks well .

Bought this from a Wegman's in Pennsylvania. I was in the state and figured why not try something from the area ("Craft brewed in Pennsylvania"). Poured from a can.

A - pours a really nice light copper color similar to a witbier. There was a huge head that looked oh so beautiful.

S - it was kinda hard to differentiate the scents present. I smelled a bit of wheat but that's about it.

T - has a light bitterness from some hops but the flavors don't really pop out or are not present at all. That's not to say that it doesn't taste good, because this Oktoberfest tastes pretty good, but there's nothing crazy special about it, which is absolutely fine.

M - very nice moderate mouth feel. After each sip, some beer still lingers in the mouth leaving a nice feeling that isn't dry at all. I think that this is one of the aspects of this beer and differentiates it from some of its peers.

O - pretty good Oktoberfest that is good to share with a few friends. Their canned package is great for on-the-go convenience. You won't find anything out of the ordinary here, but it stays true to style. Enjoyable beer to celebrate the Fall season.

A - golden hue, thick white head, excellent laces
S - not much there, yeast?
T - malty, not much hop, mild smoke, soft bitter
M - quaffable, medium body, it is a lager not a true marzen
O -Great for a seissun, ABV just under 6, not a marzen Oktoberfest but closer to hofbrau than you might think

Served in a 16 oz pint glass at my kitchen table

Pours a lighter orange to golden, lighter than I would expect for the style. Te head is foamy and somewhat thin and leaves nearly no lacing behind.

Aromas are fairly traditional and feature Munich and Carmel malt, with notes of bread and only the faintest hop presence.

The flavor is similar with Carmel and Munich malts with biscuit and faint hints of toffee. Although it may be what one would expect for the style in terms of character it is not as pronounced versus the staples of the style.

Thinner than I would like in body yet very clean and crisp with medium carbonation.

Overall this is a decent fest bier just leaving a bit of character on the table.

Poured into a harpoon tasting glass, color is copper/gold, head is light, thin, presenting only about 1/4 inch then dissipating, color is off white with larger buble size.

Smell is bread, toast, biscuit, touch of vienna/munich style malts, fresh hoppiness noted, grass and fruity but light.

Taste is clean, vienna/munich malts showing through, somewhat drying, crisp flavors, bread, toast and biscuit are all present, touch of caramel like sweetness; hop flavor is fresh, crisp, floral. Malt flavor is on the subdued side for a oktoberfest, with the hops showing through

Mouthfeel is very crisp, sharp on the tongue, expected with this level of hoppiness and the carbonation for this style.

Overall, a less sweet, more hoppy oktoberfestbier, i like it. great for the warmer september afternoons.
