a: Cloudy pale golden color; big fluffy head, spotty lace.
s: Pils malts, lemony mineral, soft spice, and prickly yeast. Light and lively.
t: Lemony, with a touch of honey and grains. Dry, yeasty finish with lingering musty cloves.
m: Gently carbonated with medium body.
o: Shoulda bought the sixer instead of the single. Great beer at a great price.

Poured into a tall pint glass, color is opaque straw, head is white, nice smallish bubbles, good fine carbonation; head lingers very well with some lacing.
Smell malt forward, mostly light pilsner and biscuit; yeast off notes and some subtle hoppiness release as the glass pulls away.
Taste is great, clean and simple malt flavors, that are not sweet as the dry finish and yeast flavors takeover. Malt notes are biscuit and pils; yeast byproducts are some phenol and bananas and clove.
Mouthfeel is also very good: crisp carbonation and dry finish that is not too hard on the tongue.
Overall, a great farmhouse or simpler saison - not over complicated, and exceptionally easy drinking. My vote for beer of the summer season.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass (a legit pint, not a short one) at Nostrand Pub in Brooklyn. I guess there are a couple of Sly Fox breweries on this site ... I've gone with the Grisette with the most reviews.
Appearamce: medium light gold with plenty of haze. Head is a finger of ivory foam with limited retention and lace. Still not a bad saison.
Smell: farmy and funky right up front; this is one dank horsey saison. I can get behind this.
Taste: plenty of funk along with a bit of farmhouse sourness and a hint of diacetyl. For some reason, this all rubs me the right way. I like a saison with a lot of weird character.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a ton of carbonation and a great creaminess; quite satisfying indeed! This might be one of the best-textured saisons I've had. Woo!
Overall: I really like this beer. I feel like I could quaff tons of it.
