A: The beer is slightly hazy light straw yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger and a half high bright white head that gradually died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and lots of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderately strong aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose along with notes of peppery spices.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has flavors of Belgian yeast along with notes of peppery spices—coriander in particular—and hints of grainy malts. The spices are most notable towards the finish.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I found this beer to be a relatively good representation of the style and also quite drinkable. (792 characters)

12 oz can 13 oct 2014 stamped on the bottom

Yellowy hazed near golden, lifts a HUGE head that slowly morphs and fades. Leaves gobs of thicker froth.

Peppery and coriander infused nose.

More heavy pepper, Belgian yeast, and again herbal coriander. Light, zesty and flavorful.

Worthy saison in a can. (306 characters)

Had on tap at the brewery—served into a tulip

Appearance: 1/4 head, golden-orange in color, clear, low carbonation

Smell: Belgian spices, grass, and lemon

Taste: hay, Belgian spices, and a good deal of orange and lemon

Mouthfeel: high carbonation, light bodied, crisp, bitter start that gets sweeter in the middle then fades back to bitterness

Overall: A very different and interesting Belgian Ale. Can’t say I have had anything quite like this before. Nice and sessionable, but I am kind of on the fence as to whether I would get it again. Sly Fox does make some great beers and this is not on the same level as their best. (633 characters)

A 355ml can with a BB of Oct 2013 (presumed). A little out of date, but hopefully still in good order. Acquired recently from the Brewdog online shop. An American take on a classic Belgian style.

Poured into a Duvel tulip. A bright golden hue with plentiful carbonation and faint floating sediment. Produces a ridiculously massive head of creamy white foam with decent retention; this slowly reduces to a thick surface layer. Slight lacing. Aroma of fruity saison yeast with hints of clove, banana, bubblegum, phenolics, coriander, spice, faint malt and earthiness. Rounded and delicious.

Tastes of fruity yeast esters and spice, with a bone-dry finish. Notes of clove, banana, mild bubblegum, coriander, spice, faint apricot, a twinge of grainy malt and earthy yeast. Highly attenuated, followed by a subtle, herbal bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body for the style. Light but well defined. Mildly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of fruity yeast, spice and earthiness.

Good stuff - a solid take on the style. Looks lovely in the glass, while the aroma and flavour are replete with fruity, spicy yeast notes. Decent body. Perhaps the only thing missing is conditioning with live yeast as in Belgium - I reckon it would add subtle depth to the flavour and texture. However this is a trivial point; nicely done and very tasty. Well worth sampling if you're a saison fan. (1,448 characters)

Appears a slightly clouded golden hue, with a very bright color shade. Bright white head forms thick with fine bubbles, head retention is excellent with fine speckled lacing left on the sides of the chalice.

Aroma has spicy yeast notes, slightly peppery with a clean biscuit malt character.

Flavor has a spicy upfront yeast character, rough phenolic character slightly fruity a hint of band aids…it’s all there.

Mouthfeel is lighter bodied with even flowing carbonation not much else happening here. The dry finish just works for the style adding to how easy this is to consume.

Overall, an easy drinking sessionable Belgian style beer in a can the off band aid plastic fermented flavors don’t sit well with me but they aren’t overbearing in this beer. (766 characters)

Cloudy yellow with a bright white head. Funky barnyard of a nose with grainy and medicinal notes.

Full mouth feel but medium bodied with brisk carbonation. Delicate honeysuckle and apple flavors on the tip of the tongue. Clean medicinal flavors on the mid palate, some band aid, along with a sweet graininess, finishes clean with just enough spicy hop (or just spice) to balance things out leaving a faint sweetness in the mouth. Clean refreshing with a good amount of complexity. And it comes in a can! (504 characters)

Thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a whilteish/yellow color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of fruits, yeast, a little funkiness to it. Taste is tart, lemony, spicy, some mustiness, tasty and easy drinking. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a solid beer. (327 characters)

Nice light farmhouse. Hazy light orange with good lacing. Funky aroma. Very fruity with a clean finish. Great beer for summertime. Experienced during a Sly Fox tap takeover. Not a huge fan if the style but I would try this again if I ran across it and it was very hot outside. And there was nothing else available. (314 characters)

A nice little local surprise for a farmhouse/Saison

Murky and cloudy appearance just begs to quaff your thirst. I am beginning to really love the farmhouse style. The lemony and yeast flavors work together to make this a great porch sitting beer while I read. The abv doesn't knock you out but allows you to stay engaged in your work be it the lawn or prepping for dinner.

A nice first beer that doesn't overpower your senses making it an easily sessionable beer. (465 characters)
