On tap exclusively at Blue Monk, hazy gold whisps of white atop.
Smell is hard to pick up with food and patio but all I get is yeast.
Taste is Belgian yeast spice and may just be an illusion but I taste Orange peel, dominated by the spicy yeast.
nice body medium feel bright carbonation
overall not bad but not outstanding, fine quaffable brew either way

New York

Brewed by Sly Fox exclusively for the Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. The menu describes it as a "Belgian Blonde (a style BA doesn't include) - An unfiltered, light to medium bodied, golden colored Belgian ale with a Trappist yeast straing creating its spicy esters and dry finish."

Pours a hazy straw color with a quickly-dissipating one-finger head. It settles to lace quickly. I had two pints and both went the same way - no head for most of the glass.

Smell is unremarkable - yeast and a touch of Belgian fruitiness.

The taste is very nice. A solid mouthfeel with fruit and a substantial bitterness on the palate. Yeast and the hops predominate. Slight sweetness early, but finishes dry and bitter.

A very drinkable, very enjoyable house beer for the Blue Monk. Something that can be regularly enjoyed with enough complexity to keep you interested but not too aggressive to cause palate fatigue.
